Very nice essay by Nina. Hard to know what to make of the French sometimes but it's a lovely place to travel. Winter is a good time to be there if the weather is not beastly.
Oh, that was a wonderful way to start my explorations of the internets today! Thank you, Anne, for including this- and thank you, Nina, for the pics and writing! What beauty God and man have wrought!
The glimpses of France are lovely. But was most amused to consider how different the two commentariats are, which isn't surprising, after all, and how much more amusing it would be if they could change places, as it were, for a couple of days.

Sounds wonderful. We spent two weeks in Bordeaux in September. A bit more crowded, but a great place to visit.
Gorgeous pics!
