It has been quite a before Christmas dump, hasn't it?

Actually, it is just before Thanksgiving.
Should I try to steel myself (or lay in some quiet pills) in anticipation of what is yet to come before Christmas?

Ms. Flournoy has a reputation for being rather war-like - in and out of the Pentagon - and is said to be demanding assurances of freedom to act as she thinks best - but she is the frontrunner for nomination to be the next SecDef?
Anybody believe all of that?
I don't think the "talks" with Iran are going to end when they test their first nuclear-tipped missile, but they are going to have to change the title.

Well, I was right about Ms. Flournoy.
She was informed that any freedom to run the department would not be part of the deal, and she has withdrawn her name from the nomination.
Which will make things that much more difficult for whoever is nominated.
