Malala Yousafzai wins the Nobel Peace Prize.

Along with (the less famous) Kailash Satyarthi.
"The Nobel Committee regards it as an important point for a Hindu and a Muslim, an Indian and a Pakistani, to join in a common struggle for education and against extremism."
Yousafzai is the youngest-ever recipient of the prize. She's 17.

I am thankful that this is a Peace Prize I do not need to be embarrassed about on behalf of my erstwhile countrymen.

Giving the Peace Prize to someone who's actually accomplished something worthwhile? What a concept.

Here's the wikipedia explanation of the Obama Nobel prize....

The Norwegian Nobel Committee announced the award on October 9, 2009, citing Obama's promotion of nuclear nonproliferation and a "new climate" in international relations fostered by Obama, especially in reaching out to the Muslim world.

Yeah....how's that working out??

Does entry into the Peace Prize Club include a decoder ring?

I have been to Swat Valley where she is from, very lush and beautiful and unusually so for Pakistan. Used to be quite open and liberal before the madrassas and Radio Taliban cleric brought in the gun and god thugs that shot Malala.

Happy to see something good came from the loss of a lovely place with hospitable people to yet more Pakistani Taliban country.

It's utterly racist not to have awarded this prize to the LightBringer.

As with Jimmah Carter, the Nobel Committee has exposed it's racist "weak underbelly" and will have to live with the shame.

Is there no one or no group that hasn't disappointed our Dear Leader?

Well, thank goodness for Gwyneth Paltrow. There's one typical lefty cult follower who knows how to stay in the tank:

I think it's really unfair to lump the poor girl with such a cast of power-hungry and hypocritical alumni. What on earth did she do to deserve having to be associated with Kofi Annan, Yasser Arafar, A veritable host of less-than-ideal American presidents (and also-rans), the United bloody Nations, António Caetano de Abreu Freire Egas Moniz...

At this point you've practically condemned the poor girl to go down in history as an ISIS revert whose claim to fame is suicide bombing a crowd of orphans all holding kittens.

She is probably the least controversial winner ever. The Hindu man also sounds worthy, but it looks contrived to award them jointly.

She now lives in England. I hope she doesn't travel by cab very often.

so it went to two people deserving of the honeor then?

Well, I have to say she's more deserving of it than Barack Obama was.

Everyone else already covered the fact that the Prize has been devalued by giving it to Bomby McDrone-tard, so my work is done here.

Glad to see someone get the Prize for something other than not being George Bush.

Nobel tries to reclaim its credibility after awarding a Peace Prize to a war monger before he had done a thing worthwhile.

Credibility, once lost, is difficult to reclaim.

Obama should have shared his prize with Malili, the Prime Minister. The peace and prosperity that Iraq currently enjoys is the result of their joint efforts.......The number of people who have been murdered, tortured, and forced into refugee status since Obama was awarded the Peace Prize has grown exponentially. But he hasn't done stupid stuff.

Mike Brown wuz robbed! He got shot in the head too.

I guess you realize that Malala is getting a lot of criticism in Pakistan as being a Western tool. CIA plots and lord knows what else. It is so sad that such a backward place is allowed to be part of the civilized world.

I do regret that she go the prize because she tried to play the "religion of peace" card too much. We need education - not lies about the people that tried to murder her.
