Ebola is a disaster, but not a blizzard or a hurricane for which the National Guard can provide help and relief.
Furthermore, remembering Army troop information lectures about what to do about "atomic radiation" back when, I shudder to think what they will tell the troops about how to handle Ebola. This could well develop into additional disasters!
The arguments for or against instituting a travel ban for those with visas from Ebola infected countries (of which the U.S. now is one) is above my paygrade, but I do not believe the reasons the administration is giving for not doing so. And that contributes to my not believing anything much of what else they say either.

Smell of lawn and dead leaves and rake and sunshine and holy crap!
I need a moment...
Who cleans the rain gutters?
There needs to be an Althouse lawn gnome....
Open thread?
What's the Althouse opinion on the now withdrawn Houston subpoenas for sermons?
Yes. Open thread.
It helps to have links to things you're hoping to elicit a separate post on. I'll take a look later.
Y'all have a pretty house.
Ah the wonders of small gardens and no deer to eat the shrubs and flowers.
Yes, a nice gnome (a la Amelie) would be interesting.
Good form, Meade.
Set your mower on the highest level and mulch those leaves.
Houston subpoenas sermons of 5 pastors.
Another semester of mean comments.
Disappointed but not surprised at the creative skills of the Harvard undergrad.
If someone bought this for you, would you put it on your lawn?
It is kind of amazing how many of the talking points of people like ARM and garage can be found on the Kos's twitter feed
Have to agree with pm317.

If Althouse is looking for something bloggable, she should look at the video of Chris Mathews trying to explain Obama's position on a travel ban.
John Grisham's comments are something too, in light of all of the campus 'rape' kerfuffle.
