This is a metaphor for something.

That's Manchester England. Brits and alcohol always seems to end poorly.

American men would have disassembled the chair or destroyed it.

He might have to move quickly. I can see that.

Alternatively, he could have wore shorts.

No I'm skeptical tag?

Maybe he had the assistance of gravity getting into the chair. Or maybe the tray was put on after he got into it.

Screw metaphors, the face-value narrative is enough to make me laugh my butt off.

But not my pants... that takes copious amounts of liquor and a highchair, apparently... :D

Time was when a guy screwed up, only the people around him got to see it. Today, if you screw up, you are almost certain to end up on the Internet forever.

You tell me this was in Manchester, but don't they speak English there? The soundtrack sounded Serbo-Croatian, or maybe Estonian.

Serbs and Brits and alcohol. All the better.

Is this new or the same one I saw on Dave Barry six months ago? Did someone do it again?

Perhaps Crack Emcee could give us the blacks man's perspective on this? Surely, black men's pants must be easier to escape.

Metaphors are subjective, therefore there is no definitive reply. Althouse sees one evidently in this store of the wanker who decides to try out a high chair and pays for it with what remains of his dignity.

I also see a metaphor here, which I shall explain. This episode is symbolic of the infantilization of the citizen by the progressive statism. Western society has "tried on" the Nanny State voluntarily, just as the wanker needed no coercion to climb into that high chair. Now we find it, the State, is squeezing us painfully in our "privates," but the escape from the squeeze is much harder than getting into the Nanny State high chair in the first place. The harder the State squeezes the harder it is to resist its coercive grip.

Some of the worst parts of 20th century history could have been avoided if only Karl Marx had tried to sit in a high chair.

Young adult males, desiring the perceived benefits of a prolonged adolescence, adopt a psychologically immature state of arrested development as a half joke and later find themselves trapped by their decision and further forced into a variety of unbecoming childish postures in an attempt to free themselves. Sort of a Peter Pan version of "if you make that face long enough, it'll freeze that way."
