The Castro brothers are the definition of empty suits. Both are very bright and well-educated, but they speak and act like Obama. Long on hot air politicking, short on actual experience and substance.
San Antonio is run by a city manager, not the mayor. While the mayor has some formal duties on the city council, he's mostly just a guy who shakes hands and gives speeches.

Let's hope Mayor Castro has learned a thing or two from former Mayor Cisneros, another real good friend of Hillary and Bill, before his private affairs become public.

Two opportunists looking to synergize their opportunism. What could be more natural?
Following in the footsteps of Cisneros. I liked Cisneros. I met with his people back in the day. They were very pro business and really trying to draw people to San Antonio. But then came his fall from grace. Just another in a long line.
Castro is Cisneros II, but he's a lightweight that happens to have a large following.

Castro stole money from HUD. So the Administration put him in charge of HUD with help from the usual GOP suspects.

The country will never again vote for such a lightweight i.e. community organizer type.

I don't know what it is about former mayors of San Antonio and HUD Secretary appointments but first we had Henry Cisneros in that job in the Clinton Administration until Janet El Reno succumbed to pressure and got him investigated by a Special Prosecutor. Henry pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI, a misdemeanor, but his mistress, Linda Jones, got burned with a prison term for 28 counts of fraud, conspiracy and money laundering. Huh? I wonder how that works?
Now we have former San Antonio Mayor and Obama's HUDSEC Julian Castro sucking up to Hillary Rodham to secure a Veep nomination. Unfortunately, no one has told him that HUD Secretary is a dead end political move historically. I sure hope he doesn't know Linda Jones' daughter.
The Hispanic Obama without the half white smart genes. We can't afford another affirmative action president, Castro nor HRC. And both are soulless duds to boot.
One big problem with Castro, is that there are two of them. Twin progressive lightweights. That is a recipe for disaster.
