I thought this was really interesting. My kids love Legos -- I played with a lot as a kid too. Beachcombing is a fun activity -- you never know what the sea will toss your way.
When I visited Corregidor Island in Manila Bay, one side of the island was about three feet deep in flip-flops, which I assume floated over from Manila.
I still find those damn Harry Potter Lego pieces in the house despite the fact that one of my kids just graduated and the other one is in high school. I sold them on Craigslist years ago! And yet somehow they keep coming back!! Tiny little black wizard capes, tiny little Harry and Hermione heads, the troll, the little magic wands ...
