Which reminds me the best PBS series ever made has been on recently called EarthFlight.
It is an amazing documentary of migrating birds from the birds eye view. I've seen #2 and #3 of the 7 programs, the Africa and Europe installments. But I missed #1 on America, and am looking forward to the South America program coming next.
It is rare TV worth seeing. Lots of cranes and storks, snow geese and barn swallows, all doing 4,000 to 6,000 mile trips in a few weeks. The beauty of the earth they fly over is beyond amazing.
Ooh, another rainbow connection day. I have to admit that today's posts don't lend themselves to the spectrum nearly as well as the last one...perhaps that's the disconnect. I'm going to try it absent the theme anyway. The colors of the rainbow, bookended by black and white.
Ukraine is beneath one of the major skyways from Europe to southern and southeast Asia. When the Russians first took action I looked at this area on Flight Tracker 24 and saw that the traffic seemed normal. It probably still was until today. As of a few moments ago, only three commercial flights are shown over the Ukraine. Two are Ukranian Airlines flights and the third is a private jet heading northwest from Slovakia.
The skyway to the south over Turkey is jam lacked.
Now that we know the defendant government lawyers at the heart of the John Doe investigation were coordinating closely with the G.A.B. (according to the defendant lawyers' own court filings) when, exactly is Governor Walker going to be frog-marched, again?
"garage mahal", I need an answer to this question. What is the new limited hangout position? And how long before the next untrue, untenable position is replaced with a new one?
I was out somewhere tonight, and there were a couple of ten year old boys behind me. One of them kept half yelling, half whining across the room to his mother, "Mom, come here. Come over here, mom." She indicated repeatedly that he was to come to her, but he went on and on anyway. After a few minutes of this, I turned around. I was smiling and I started off with "dude" because I wanted to keep it light and didn't want to come off as the strange, scary adult coming down on him.
I said, "Dude, if you want to talk to your mom, you've got to go over there."
1. Unicorns don't fly. You're thinking of Pegasus.
2. That's the same double rainbow. I'm not on a regimen of posting pictures only from the same day.
3. We were just taking pictures of Abbey that day (Thursday) and should have some up soon.
4. Meade's pants that day were beige, not yellow, but they do look yellowish in that light. I have never seen Meade wear bright colored pants.
5. Great story about the "dude" boy. At least his mom is training him. She'd do better to just not respond until he comes over.
6. The quote is original to the extent that it's an original variation on a familiar line from a song I've played and replayed many times, in the Willie Nelson version, especially in the days since the rainbow. The variation is intended to describe the pictures, in which Meade and the dogs are not paying attention to the rainbow.

Interesting place to live. Are the cranes flying south yet?
That first photo looks like it is missing some unicorns. And maybe a Barack Obama or something.
Meade, off to check on his gold...en-haired lawprof.
"Are the cranes flying south yet?"
Not over the Ukraine, if they have any sense.
Is that another double rainbow? Or are these additional photos from the same one you posted a couple days ago?
I get it. "Not over the u-crane..."

Where's Abbey? Haven't seen her here in a long while.

Odetta sang The Midnight Special about as well as a song can be sung.
Sorry if this isn't really a cafe thing.

And while you're at it, listen to Nina Simone nail down "Cotton-Eyed Joe".
Sorry again. This just brings tears to my eyes.

Thanks in advance.
Putin should be assassinated.

Ha!
Someday you'll find it, the rainbow disconnection...
Without attribution, I assume the quote is original.
Is it a second person wish or admonishment?
"Rainbow disconnection"??
A rupture between God's promise and reality???
That's a Job well done and not exactly original.
