Last week I saw a outlaw-type biker pull in to the convenience store where I was fueling my Explorer. He unzipped his jacket, and out popped the head and forequarters of a Chihuahua.
A tiny dog may or may not be macho, but I'm not the one who'd pose that question to that motorcyclist.
You may know that the Chihuahua can't beat the Boston Terrier in a fight, and the Boston Terrier may know that it can beat the Chihuahua in a fight, but the Chihuahua doesn't know and doesn't care.
My two Bostons were very friendly and not aggressive. They had extremely strong jaws and could chew up and eat pork chop and rib bones. They never used them for anything else. They would sometimes play-bite my ears. I still miss them.
My experience with chihuahuas is that they are very aggressive, territorial, and nasty in temperament.
My experience with Chis is the 7yo male wants to lick my face off, and the 5yo female is much more standoffish but when prompted will offer a few kisses. The 6mo puppy of another friend is also super affectionate, but she is a rescue.
I am prejudiced against small dogs, but these ones are fine with me. They do have sharp teeth.

Excuse me while I kiss the sky.

Exactly what I thought of!

Look at all the photos at the link.
I made a comment to which Meade responded "Tito is intact."

A "macho" chihuahua photo on Cinco de Mayo? Is that racist? Perhaps species-ist or breed-ist?
