More city-like than I'd thought.
New York (area) bias (me).
Living your whole life right next to NY spoils you in many ways (a current topic among my friends thinking about retirement/relocation).
Every city looks attractive from a distance. Now that I live in a semi-rural area outside Atlanta, my two former cities of Chicago and Los Angeles are now almost distant enough to look attractive.
Admittedly, in my mind, there's always been something about professors living in walking distance of the campus that seems to deepen their academic cloister.
