It is interesting that you don't want to travel but when you do you post about it big time... me thinks you enjoy getting out of Madison and seeing other places, but are not altogether ok with the experience and as a result have anxiety.

1. I don't post much about the travel. I just use the photos I happen to take, wherever I am. In a new place, I'm likely to see more things to photograph. I say almost nothing about the place or what we're doing. You're just seeing photograph posts of the completely typical kind that I do in Madison too.
2. We like home. All our stuff is here. The desktop computer. The home-cooked food. The comfortable bed. Etc. We don't feel any need to run away from the place we love and enjoy 100% of the time when we're here.
3. It's not about "anxiety" but about happiness with normal life and a lack of a feeling of need to go looking for replacements for what we already have.
4. It is a lot of trouble and expense to go somewhere else. That's worth doing sometimes, but it's just not a big deal to us. We have no wish lists of places we need to see. We went to Boulder because we looked at the weather reports and decided to drive somewhere that would be pleasant during spring break when it was going to be cold here.

BooYah (does anyone still say that?)"
I just sold my 44 which was primo...goose egg cover, original switch, 1 HP bullet motor w/ tag...pristine rails and fence. I had a 47 too, but that needed lots of work.
I sold them because I have an Oliver 88-DX now. Massive saw...3,000 pounds plus.

About the only thing this doesn't have is the motor cover. I'd like to find an original one, but a fiberglass Repro will do. I can finally get rid of the contractor saw I've had for the last 10 years.
I had a line on an old crescent combination machine, but it needed a lot of work, and my shop is less than 400 sq ft. Not enough space for a rebuild project of that scale and still get furniture built. Looking for a more substantial planer now. Something like an old Powermatic 100.

Perfect small shop planer. I have a Oliver 399. Awesome planer. Are you on OWWM?
Yes, bought my first old machine 2 years ago ( an old craftsman joiner with orginal stand) but my shop was only 120 sq ft at the time, so I didn't look for more machinery until this year, when I expanded my shop. I mostly do hand work anyway, so I am mostly a lurker. Only a couple of posts. Chief13 is my handle there.

tits that are anxious.
. . . subtly signal your awareness of directionality.
I can tell the top of the picture is "up". Is that too subtle?
I've seen Roman ruins that are nicer theaters.
Think about direction, wonder why you haven't before.

I think it was built to look like ancient ruins.

$100 for that Uni...you suck deal for sure.
I would use electrolysis to get rid of the table rust...easier and effective. I posted on your Unisaw thread there.
