On the Ice Age Trail...

Untitled

Untitled

Today. Photos by Meade. Somewhere near Lodi. It was icy — solid ice in places — and often uphill, but we got great footing — sorry for another sales pitch, but, seriously, these things are great — with Kahtoola Microspikes. The trekking poles helped too.

Well, we are living in an inter-glacial period of an "ice age," so the sign is correct, strictly speaking, but if by "ice age" the glacial period is meant, would not Wisconsin be under the ice and no mastodons around?

Come Closer. I Have a Special Thing to Show You, Very Special. It is a Sacrificial Rock, Used By Witches Three Centuries Ago: You Can Still See the Grooves That their Knives Made. It Has been said That When the Wind Blows Through These Trees You Can Hear the Souls of those Sacrificed, But Sometimes It is Just the Wind, Depends on the Conditions. Great footing?

But you had to come back down the hill too. That's when I really hate the ice.

Downhill was fine too. Obviously, we made it back and I'm not hospital-blogging.

There are various ice-gripper thingies. The ones we have really work and have held up for years.

My father's home farm and now his brother's farms if about 1 mile from that place.

The road next to this piece of land is named after my grandfather and my last name.

Did you know I am the last to carry on my family name?

All my cousins on that side of the family are female.

And the road parallel to the road named after my father's family is a road named after my mother's family.

My father's brother is the town of Dane's chairman.

He is a died in the wool democrat but they have voted him in for over 40 years because he spends no money and as a result the roads are slippery as hell around there.

In that area the farms are smaller but if you go to rural Waunakee and Deforest the farms are huge and are major takers of farm subsidies. Some as much as 200k a year with Russian and Mexican milkers who live in their "old" houses. They know have 5000 square feet mcmanisons...and all their kids and grandkids do too.

I took a tour of those farms and there was no white American actually working on them.

welfare farmers and much more welfare than welfare queens....

Wow Titus. You should spread your seed. Don't wait till some New Age scammer gets you to pay pay pay: Spread your seeds and be fruitful.

You can't let your lineage die, I'm sure I am the first one to clue you in.

And keep appreciating and showing gratitude for dogs' wisdom and God's grace shown through thee.

Every day, things are getting better and better.

Indeed.

I have noticed people whom I used to know that have collected high six figures over ten years in subsidies.

These are extremely creative, crafty entrepreneurs too that work work work.

Crack is correct in that white farmers have raped the treasury, and their neighbors, Deliverence-wise, for many many years, yet only when Pigford was publicized did Breitbart or whites care.

This is where I came from. All my cousins still live there and I left to do something different.

I left this when I was 17 and I was brave. I was completely alone and ridiculed because I came from Wisconsin...which one rich friend asked if Wisconsin is by Idaho.

I had no pedigree or wealth or family connections but yet I thrived and became successful.

My mom always tells me that none of my relatives would do what I did, but I knew I had to escape. They were comfortable in that world.

I still love Wisconsin but would never return permanently under any circumstances......I am a big city, east coast, fast paced professional woman....

I'm glad you didn't get stuck. That's a bad place to be stuck.

Freckles Meade?

Once. Once I will allow you to purport unfreckled privilege via linkage of Whit.

Once.

This is a ginger trigger and I will be silenced no more as the ultra-mega minority.

I have no identity, family, home, town, county, state, or country.

Fuck Ron Howard.

You are a greater person than I Titus. I will regret typing that so I will mention something about Irony...

God Bless you and America.

And pet that dog.

Guildofcannonballs said...

"Oh I am over 5'8" but I am a minority."

Oh yeah, then fuck off. You tall prick. Fucking privileges of height.

Fucking privileges of Goddamed height.

I say.

,I mean, is it a cafe thread? Would it be OK if I just posted some thing?

Meade said...

"Posts labeled "café" are open threads, so use those to introduce your own topics. A post that's basically just a photograph is also a café."

Bullshit:

Taft also opposed unchecked deficit spending, high farm subsidies, excess governmental bureaucracy, the National Labor Relations Board, and nationalized health insurance.
