It is a frightened dog. If it was a wolf it wouldn't have a collar on or be wandering around with its head down and it tail well on the way to under its belly.
Siberian Huskies are pretty mild mannered. They do like to run though. And run. And run. And no amount of "come back here" is gonna get em back. Until they're damn good and ready to come back.

It looks old, and very comfortable in that environment.
I guess Kate McKinnon's crazy Russian villager character wasn't much of an exaggeration regarding Sochi.
Nice call Nonapod. I enjoyed that SNL skit although it seemed to go on too long. Now it does indeed seem prescient.

**Trigger Warning**
Looking for his sheep costume.
When I first saw the headline on Drudge, I thought it was about Wolf Blitzer desperately trying to find a story in Sochi.
Now that is a good Russian sniper disguise. You cannot even see the rifle.
There are wolves wandering those halls to be sure, but not the canine type. No wolf would let itself get trapped in there. It's a dog.
Just step into the hall, say "here doggie" and you will see.
That doggie is looking for the sled team.
Maybe a wolf-dog mix, but definitely a wolf.
Siberian Husky. Mixed red and black.
Or maybe a Siberian Husky, Rusty.
Something else to whine about.
Sure this wasn't in the speed skaters dorm?
In Russia, wolf bar you from door!
Clearly a dog, and one that is well taken care of at that.
It will huff and puff and blow the Bill Clinton imposter.
Huskies have broader faces. This one looks a bit like a Mexican wolf.
(And yes, that is a separate breed.)
He's wearing a collar.
Ladle Rot Rotten Hut
He was obviously on his way to dinner with the Russian hockey team.
Yes, this wild animal walked by without a look at the human.
Sure looks like a domestic animal to me. Well fed and in amazing shape, not the usual scrawny wild canid.
Whatever it is, it is a beautiful animal.
I'm not crazy about a US team member using a #sochifail hashtag. Seems poor sportsmanish.

Frightened wild animals are dangerous.
Here's a house to put... wolves at the door
Wolves, Lower
Suspicion yourself, suspicion yourself, don't get caught
Suspicion yourself, suspicion yourself, let others out
Wilder lower wolves.
Here's a house to put... wolves at the door
In a corner garden, wilder lower wolves
House in order, house in order, house in order, house in order
Down there they're rounding a posse to ride

UPDATE: Hoax.
Siberian Huskies are pretty mild mannered.

Too bad the d*mn*d wolf couldn't have eaten Marie-Philip Poulin before the hockey final.
Apparently, this is prank played by Jimmy Kimmel.
Althouse got punked, hilarious.
