A pretty cool song, played in 2 versions at "The Good Fight." At the very beginning, it's Leo Sidran, and there's a "cover" version at the end.
The rest of the show — "powered by MoveOn.org" — is about "an uprising in the underbelly of our unsurpassedly unequal economy: the great fast food strike of 2013."

All the sooner to be replaced by robots.
The fast foodies should learn how to install and repair robots and drones.
The left are ever the drama queens.
An astroturfed, union bought and paid for, pre-coordinated, preprinted placard carrying, rent-a-mob isn't an
"uprising". It's a artificially manufactured political theater product that has gone through more processing than the fries served at the fast food joints.
"Pro-Union propaganda Op" =/= uprising.
When big macs are 12 bucks each then the fast food workers will have priced themselves out of the market.
Why? Supply and demand. People won't buy 12 buck hamburgers, period.
And if they think being a burger flipper is a career, they are deluding themselves.
Unions are losing influence and members. "Wage Slave" theater is nothing more than a union membership drive.
Twitter is abuzz with photos of morbidly obese "wage slaves" barely scrapping by on their meager wage protesting. As they shove their hammy fists in the air, you can see their necks waddle. I think this type of protest was more effective when the media could write about it in print or pick out more photogenic examples. Now it's just sad.
When my wife saw the news story on TV there was a man holding a sign that read "I am a Man" and she replied "Well if he's a man, why doesn't he get a man's job?"
But seriously Obama is begging for out of control inflation, He probably can't imagine what's taking it so long since he's done everything in his power to make it happen. With it he accomplishes dual objectives, He both inflates away his monstrous federal debt, and Imposes a wealth tax on the rich which hie could get no other way.
A political and fiscal scheme, and compensatory demands. What are Obamacare and minimum wage. Trickle up poverty which favors an elite minority by design.
Yes, the SEIU bought and paid for this 'protest'. I get emails all the time from 'McDonald Workers' and 'Burger King Workers' with an SEIU email addy.
They aren't fooling anyone.
SEIU, shooting themselves in the foot with a rented gun.
Didn't you just post an article showing Walmart, McDonald's and Yum Yum Brands (fast food umbrella company) being America's TOP THREE employers in 2013 as opposed to 1974 when it was ATT, GM, and Ford.
In any case, I have news. My in-laws, attorneys both, one of them winning a top ten attorney of the year award, have successfully signed up for an Obamacare CA (Covered CA) Kaiser plan. They will not qualify for subsidies of any kind, but are still going to save $300 a month.
They had (Kaiser) insurance out the wazoo so was surprised they took a look.
To be honest, if minimum-wage jobs are below 5% of the workforce, raising the minimum wage isn't going to increase inflation all that much, aside from the knock-on effects from increasing *non* minimum wage job costs accordingly, which is pretty much the point. Unions and progressives could give a shit about the poor downtrodden minimum-wage toad, it's all about *union* jobs, which are indexed, indirectly or directly, to MW.
But it certainly will have an adverse effect on cost-of-living for the lower classes. Progs and other high-wage assholes don't feel the pinch when Walmart is suddenly a quarter again as expensive, and McDonalds costs a third again as it does right now - they don't eat at McDonalds or shop at WalMart. The lower-middle-class does, and boy howdy are they going to get fucked.
And isn't that the point of Robert Cook/garage mahal progressivism? To fuck the lumpenproles as hard and ragged as they can? Those screws deserve every barbed cock up the squeaker that the Robert Cooks can bring to hand. They're hateful, horrible people, and deserve to bleed copiously from their violated rectums. Because "proletariat" is a synonym for "people I like", you know.
Wait a sec.
Is this post the same as the original?
What the heck, that it ain't.
Way earlier, I made note of this post [on account of a note made by this blogger drawing specific attention to the contribution of someone I particularly admire] to draw my attention it later, when I would have more time to pay attention to it and comment therein--but now what I see is something that renders my bothering even to make note as entirely silly. Oh, why? Oh, blah + oh, pfuie. It gives one pause, and for good reason.
I do not understand what happened or why that was a good choice.
