I hope Mr. Snowden can successfully avoid capture by the American injustice system and live his life free, knowing he did something brave in the face of what he knew would be the implacable desire for revenge against him by the government.
I don't think there is a reasonable expectation that he would be facing "justice" if he were to return. Theres a much higher probability that he will be facing retribution. You don't want to make Obama mad, You wouldn't like him when he's mad....
What about the Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, who was asked "does the NSA collect any type of data at all on millions or hundreds of millions of Americans?" and he replied "No, sir" – a bald faced lie to congress. Snowden showed he was lying.
Clapper called it the "least untruthful answer." Is he facing justice for violating millions of American's 4th Amendment rights?
Snowden is now under the effective control of Russia's FSB (what used to be the KGB), which also knows a thing or two about electronic surveillance, and is not filled with white-hatted defenders of truth and transparency.
Dan Pfeiffer is a political operative. Who cares what he thinks about any legal matter? He's always going to say whatever he thinks will help Blue Team.
What's funny about this is that it's a bogius story. Snowden never asked for clemency. Several follow up stories have the details, but the gist is AP got the info wrong, and it spread from there.

So did Lois Lerner and I don't see a rush to prosecute her.
'Mr Obama violated US law. He should return to reality and face justice,' said White House adviser Dan Pfeiffer.

Snowden has been performing a valuable service.

You don't want to make Obama mad, You wouldn't like him when he's mad....
They will have more flexibility after the next election.
A question regarding Snowdon: why do people assume that his revelations are actually true?
(
If Snowden had been part of this administration....
Since when did these guys care about "the law"?
Snowden was reportedly on record a few years ago saying, "If you like your secrets, you can keep them."
What he released weren't the sort of secrets the US would want to keep, so all is fine.
Dan Pfeiffer? Srsly?
The guy is an Obama spokes-drone. He's not affiliated with the DOJ.
He's also a 'tard.
Snowden leaked NSA security documents to the public.
Lois Lerner leaked private IRS documents to the FEC.
Which one is on the run? In AmeriKa 2013.

Frankly, I don't like him very much when he's happy, either.

Won't justice have to return first?

The guy's a creep.

If he returns, he'll face Obamacare. The big question is whether that's worse than Putincare.
Snowden has been denied amnesty. There is a certain and predictable outcome which follows from a selective or ambiguous rule of law.
