"... and the glitches that continue to plague the insurance exchanges -- a point that frustrated several conservatives."
Ha ha. Conservatives got frustrated. That's funny. Meanwhile, Obama sustained an hour-long grilling by his fans. What an icon of endurance!
And those poor dumb conservatives. I can just see the steam coming out of their ears. They are such losers. They are losing the shutdown. I read that everywhere in the fan magazines.
She said, sarcastically.

Wow. Althouse on fire. I detect a theme emerging.
Tiger Beat says Obama is SOOO DREAMY!
Hostage-taking raises more questions than software glitches...whodathunk.
Machine: "Hostage-taking raises more questions than software glitches...whodathunk."
Where were dem complaints of obama's "hostage-taking" in 2006?
LOL
Fen's Law: The left does not actually believe a single thing that they lecture the rest of us about.
The Republicans are doing the Dems a huge favor by giving them a year to fix the glitch-filled software and doing more to avoid sticker shock for the middle class. They're too damn dumb to realize it.
Obama the boyfriend and your 17 yr old daughter, the press, are hanging-out down in the basement.
They're being told one of them will have to get a job, and that their love will have to make it in the real world.
They're not happy.
"The public still mostly thinks Obama will pull a rabbit out of the hat and make it all work. They'll think that till its all over (and then they'll get upset when the media thinks it's all ended.) The press must know right now the most Obama will do is throw someone under the bus and so I don't understand why they aren't more upset and asking more questions right now.
Is this denial the first step in mourning the death of a dream?" she said really queryingly, or "is it more of the new US Pravda?" she said bitterly.
Forget the website glitches; the huge cost increases are the bigger problem.
So, Obamacare takes a backseat to the shutdown/debt ceiling game of chicken and orange pylons. Doesn't seem so odd, at all.
What about when the right lectures about it?
Unprecedented...
Freeman:
Clearly you hate the 'middle-class', social justice, and may or may not be racist if you oppose the ACA.
This bill represents a broad new American center of people helping people, raised consciousness and shared sacrifice. Single-payer would have been nice, but finally in America will we have a 'civilized' institutional structure heading towards a peaceful, just and more verdant world.
You're either an ideological libertarian loon or a reactionary obstructionist right-wing nutjob if you disagree.
Machine, I see you did not even attempt to refute the assertion.
That is wise.
In happier news, and in terms of "hostage-taking", the obama-thug administration has decided that maybe they shouldn't be running around blockading law-abiding citizens running their businesses properly.
Ace says it best: "The Administration had cited the shutdown, claiming it had no choice but to shutter the Claude Moore Colonial Farm. Well, that is, until yesterday.
Funny, that. The National Park Service, threatened with political pressure and legal action, has decided that its act of barricading a privately-funded, privately-operated business was unnecessary. Let that sink in: for a week, the Obama Administration closed down this living history museum, costing it thousands of dollars, and now concedes that it didn't have to."
Of course, machine is all in favor of armed federal guards keeping law-abiding citizens from frequenting privately-funded privately operated businesses.
Right machine?
The government is not shut down nearly enough. Only when they send congress home, stop all pay to the pres, vp, and all cabinet officers will we have a REAL SHUTDOWN.
But I like it any way. We are saving SOME money, and could save a lot more.
The US government is useless, dangerous, and self-serving.
Hostage-taking raises more questions than software glitches...whodathunk.
Signature presidential rollout of the most contentious government program in more than a generation goes awry...more than somewhat...and not a single question.
It's takes OMG-sized blinders to buy that line of BS.
I suppose if I'm going to be in style by liberal rhetoric standards, I shouldn't say that my premiums are supposed to go up by $400 a month. I should say that it's awful to be held at gunpoint and subject to robbery by the government.
Hostage taking is much closer to when armed men forbid people from leaving a building. That's not what -- either -- part of Congress did.
The NPS, on the other hand...
Tank: "I detect a theme emerging."
As do I: Liberty
Your premium increase is the shared sacrifice. We'll all feel a little pain, here, Freeman. As you look over at your neighbor, you'll know you'll be united in misery and all the fences will disappear as you give each other knowing smiles.
You'll both be paying for steaks and getting a hamburgers, at best.
When you go to sleep at night, or think about the future, you'll be comforted as I am by the thought of a futuristic room full of whirs and clicks and the wisest among us calculating and predicting best outcomes.
People like Ezra Klein, Kathleen Sebelius, and Barack Obama.
And if you disagree with any Lib. Dem. they'll do the right thing and continue to provide health care right Chris?
(Is Chris a satirist, or is he really that stupid?)
The great thing (for America) about a Republican administration is that, during those years, we actually have a functioning, adversarial press willing to ask questions. That press goes away when a Democrat wins, and spends its time rolling over and waiting to have its tummy petted. It can only be roused for a few minutes to repeat the Party's talking points, then it lays back down. It's a sickening display.
The press hounded Romney for days (if not weeks) after his Euro tour, "what about your gaffes?"
Now, 1/6 of the economy is under the thumb of a crew that can't even get a website working with THREE years lead time, and it's silence.
Unbelievable.
(Is Chris a satirist, or is he really that stupid?)
Looking at his last sentence, can you really not be able to answer that?
Blighter quality. Well done.
Ironically, we wouldn't even have had a shutdown if it had not been for the existence of Obamacare on the books.
So if the shutdown is so important to the exclusion of all else, you'd think the rollout of Obamacare would be at least part of the questioning.
The press' self defence may be persuasive to some, and reassuring to the true believers, but it is not particularly logical. Of course, it was never intended to receive serious scrutiny.
The POTUS Obama is the best thing that has happened to us in the US of A. No one can touch us. No one. We own the press. We own. After Obama it will be POTUS HRC. We will own the press from now till 2024.
Everything is the fault of the GOP, esp. Boehner, McConnell, Paul, Ryan, Cantor, etc. etc.
Our insulated king - if it were not so serious it would be funny.
Big Brother loves you, Ann. No doubt about it. And knows that you will wise up before the Park rangers come for you.
John Boehner held a press conference at the same time. A two minute statement and one question before an aide pulled the plug and Boehner slunk away.

You try so hard at satire and then comes machine & company who outdo you sincerely. It's like life has out parodied The Onion.
"FAN MAGAZINES" Best ever. Excellent.

I'd tend to agree but that abortion won't be functioning properly ten years from now. Name a government technology project that has worked since 1945. The Moon mission is all I can think of.
