Clyde comments on the dogs.
By the way, can you identify the breed of the dog in the first photo (at the link, above)? The second photo is obvious, and the beautiful face in the third is what happens when you don't worry so much about breeding.
And here's another dog, a new puppy in town:

Meade will know who that new puppy looks like!
Meade says "Wendy!"
I loved the terrier in the first photo. I could dog-nap that dog!

Australian Terrier?
I was thinking Yorkshire terrier, but really I'm not up on my dog breeds.
Looking at my dog recently (looks a lot like picture 3) I was reminded of the verse in the song "Sweet Betsy from Pike":
The Shanghai ran off and the oxen all died.
That morning the last piece of bacon was fried.
Ike got discouraged and Betsy got mad.
And the dog wagged his tail and looked mournfully sad.
Looks like a Portugese Podengo Pequino.
We have a winner, and it's not Portugese Podengo Pequino.
Must be the Australian Terrier, then. Not a Yorkie.
The Yorkie next door is a feisty piece of work, assiduous in defending my driveway ... from me.
I thought Portugese Podengo Pequino was a goofy made-up name for a joke, but I looked it up and now I want one. Incredibly cute. And it does look like the pic.
But Irene is right. It's an Australian Terrier.
The reason I know this breed is because I considered getting an Australian Terrier in the late 1980s.
