"Like most artists, I paint because I have to; the paintings are lined up inside my head demanding to be realized."
"... My painting is informed by the nostalgia and even absurdity of the moment - the consciousness that all existence is flux."

I like that one cat painting very much. The other paintings are not bad, but they're less good.
As for those mocking her for quitting being a lawyer in order to be an artist...who wouldn't rather be an artist than a lawyer?!
I think she should do the stained glass windows over at the Cheesecake Commune in California.
For all you folks out there deriding this poor woman, let me just say, as a resident of the DC area, that anything that reduces the number of lawyers in DC (short of the lawyers morphing into serial killers) is a good thing.
Look at the crap that shows up at the Tate Modern or the MoMA, and then make fun of this woman's stuff. There's bad modern art everywhere, and at least she's not smearing elephant dung on religious icons.
And I really think somebody needs to do a feline version of the poker game. On black velvet. Must be on black velvet.
I'd buy the painting of the cat in velvet.
"...at least she's not smearing elephant dung on religious icons."
And what's wrong with that?
(I know what you're referring to and I'm just curious if you actually believe that elephant dung was "smeared" on a religious icon or if you're pretending to believe that for rhetorical purposes.)
They demand an entire wing of their own in the MoBA.
*channels Chris Crocker* Leave Manx cats out of this ...
When Ace gets on a roll like this, he's one of the funniest guys on the interwebs.
