The Nation actually did keep harping on the Patriot Act after Obama was elected, albeit not as loudly.

A good chunk of their staff views Obama as being a right-wing tool of the military-industrial complex.

Good cartoon except I don't see how anyone can say anything positive about Bradley Manning. He was mad that his boyfriend jilted him and wanted to make a scene. That anything might have been learned from his treason was a side effect.

If Obama has lost The Nation, the bottom will inevitably fall out of his coalition. It always depended on everyone in it assuming he was lying but only about the stuff the bad people wanted to hear.

Eventually the squishy center that just wanted the Race Issue to have a Hollywood Ending will realize that the Hollywood Ending we're experiencing is Chinatown.

It is mind boggling that lefties don't get the inevitable connection between tyranny and a huge, unchecked, unbalanced, omnipotent, secretive federal government. The states need to immediately start grabbing power back from the fed gov, it is our only hope.

Amen. The War on Coal has a new front in states rights: Kentucky is considering forming a state EPA and nullifying the federal EPA and resuming coal mining under its own authority.
