This is the product of William Ayers and his friends at Columbia University, as well as 40 years of union teachers.

The little morons can't spell and they don't like being laughed at.

It hurts their self-esteem.

PS That comic would have been a little more effective if she'd been holding an AR-15.

Spelling rage has nothing on punctuation rage.

Another acorn of idiocy you've pulled out of your ass, Eddie?

I'll just lazily copy and paste what I posted at that linked site:

I can get as angry as the next guy at Madison Avenue raping our language as a cheap marketing gimmick,* but languages evolve and, if "the people" are just naturally changing the way they say or spell something, then Mal has no beef. She may not like it, but she doesn't get to say she is right and the people are wrong.

*My biggest pet peeve: real estate agents do not sell homes, they sell houses. The people who buy them make them homes.

Funny you use the word ACORN, but it surprises me not in the least you'd side with the country's best known domestic terrorist and would stick up for the demonstrably (and oft-documented) poor performance of union teachers.

I'm sure spellcheck and dictionaries are regarded as bourgeois tools of the Capitalist Oligarchy down at the Daily Worker.

Acorn? Don't you mean eggcorn?

Or egghorn... on a bad day.

My tea loafs while little egg corns grow.

Change "while" to "from" while I figure out a way to blame safari.

Wait, is the further attempt at co-opting the english language to the perpetual leftist meme?

Or Foghorn Leghorn?

That would make someone who sleeps in a cardboard box under the freeway overpass a "homeowner". After all, it's his box, right?

Real estate agents also sell condos. Those are, by definition, homes.

Now taking bets on which words are at the top of the list for "spelling reform".

My prediction is ask will be reformed to ax. To the frustration of Shavians fish will become fizz. And to head off possible entitlement reform enough will become more.

My money's on "cent" becoming plural.

Judging by blog comments, I'd say "minuscule" will become "miniscule"; "hypocrisy" will become "hypocracy"; and "its"/"it's" and "there"/"they're"/"their" will be OK to use interchangeably.

(I see, in typing this, that whatever spell-check Blogger uses is already down with "miniscule." OTOH, "catalogue" is already verboten, as in "attains the little red underline of death." It passes "dialogue" and "analogue," though, as well as "verboten." Go fig.)
