If Obama were to get a horribly disfiguring skin disease, or lose one of his vocal chords, would he go down like the Power Mac Cube?

Note to the NSA: I don't want Obama to suffer any such problems.

In Slate today: "Marry Me. And Me.
The case for polyamory. And while we’re at it, let’s privatize marriage."

Lem emailed me this link and asked me to post it. It's a brief interview with Marc Andreessen: link about NAS. Apparently, he keeps getting spam filtered.

I worked right next door to Netscape in Mountain View back in the 90s. Andreessen must have been there but I never met or saw him. My boss used to see Netscape guys outside playing games of pick up basketball at midnight (a sign of their long hours and dedication) and always asked us chemists: "How come you guys don't do that?"

The Broncos cut running back Willis McGahee to make room for Monte Ball.

And over in Boston the Patriots owner says his new signee, Tim Tebow, is a class person and he sees his spiritual faith as a plus rather than a Minus.

Into every life a little confetti must fall.

Dr. Althouse,
I too live in Academia, but I wonder what kind of practicing attorney you would have been if you were in commerce.
Would you be an O'Mara, defending Zimmerman, or a Prosecutor or Real Estate, Wills, Ambulance Chaser…?

A revolt is coming, that's for sure.

And it looks like Congress is voting with its feet, a lot of retirements before ObamaTax sends premiums through the roof.

Enjoy all that great health care, She Devil of the SS.

Today, John Conyers, (D-MI) referred to the NSA as "NASA". His eyes were down, and his voice was low and slow.

Ann described Hillary! yesterday as "a famous character who's only reasonably nice looking" and I demurred, saying she's had a lot of work done over the millennia.

For those interested, the full hilla.

I'm infuriated by this article's casual assumption that there are brains to drain at all in DC. What an insult to anyone who's watched these epic assclowns destroy the country. Brains?! Where? Yeah, we need these idiots to figure out the tax code. I could do it in 3 minutes. You could do it in three minutes. And that's what terrifies these "artificial scarcity" assholes. That we're discovering they're all paper tiger morons, barely able to wipe their butts let alone run the country.

TML म्हणाले...

Ahhh, Edutcher, you beat me to it. Did that "brain drain" nonsense get your goat too?

edutcher म्हणाले...

The only ones who will be able to enjoy their treachery (maybe) are the oldest of them, but I think things are going to decay faster than they believe.

NAS, NSA, whatever. Make a real point.

What if the President is stupid?

He might be. I think most people who voted for him are afraid to confront the possibility. Most of the Democratic Party probably doesn't care much, and the Republican Party is more concerned with what he seems to be doing.

But what if he's just not that smart?

What evidence do we have that he is smarter than the average bear?

This guy is a dolt. Dumber than his VP, Joe Biden. He is such a great speaker, singer, and presenter (much like Britney Spears in her prime) that he gets away with a lot, and has no idea how stupid he is. He has been told he's brilliant. But what evidence do we have? What if he's unable to complete a thought on his own? Has that happened? Here I am doing it in a blog comment; could Barry do the same?

Bob Ellison म्हणाले...

I submit as evidence that all Obama would have to do to rescue his reputation is to give an Oval Office speech denouncing the IRS scandal and the NSA scandal, and saying "the buck stops here, and I'm in charge, and I'm sorry, and I'm gonna stop it."

He's too stupid to do that. Or too corrupt. There is no in between.

edutcher म्हणाले...

Has anybody else seen the rumor that Glenn Beck has hacked emails proving Roberts was blackmailed to vote the way he did on ObamaTax?

As I say, I think Beck's a jerk, so I'm skeptical, but that would be a real game-changer, if true.

Have you considered vain?

As they said of Woody, "Mr Wilson may not have always been right, but he was never wrong".

Bob Ellison म्हणाले...

edutcher, "vain" is a part of stupid.

traditionalguy म्हणाले...

The two choices given are that the Great Obama Train Wreck is happening because he is 1)stupid or 2)corrupt....whichleaves out what is hiding in plain sight which is that he is planning to destroy the USA as an act of social justice for the world socialists.

Remember the guys who ran the Party in the USSR? They have come back inside the Presidency of the United States.

A small list of some of Obama's intentionally acquired and shot down targets in our country:
The rule of Law,
The US Military hegemony,
The best Health care system known,
Our alliances in the Middle east,
Our trust in the US Government,
The value of our US dollar assets.
Our trust in science as a truth seeker.

While driving today, I dimly recalled a case from a year or so ago where the Supreme Court disallowed the FBI's use of vehicle GPS tracking devices without warrants. IIRC, the FBI had placed such devices on 3,000 or so vehicles.

I realize that there may be subtleties of law beyond my experience that limit the utility of drawing comparisons between the GPS case and the ongoing NSA controversy.

However, as a matter of decency (rather than law), it seems strange to believe that 3,000 warrantless GPS trackers are an affront to the Constitution, yet pervasive GPS-like monitoring of the personal communications of millions of people through what seems to be a sweeping, rubber stamp warrant process is not.

Not necessarily. I could name people out of history who were undeniably vain, but brilliant.

Of course, Choom isn't one of them.

Fox is doing a segment called "Prying eyes" on Bret Bair show now (a program that airs tomorrow) about Obama campaign's data mining in last year's election. It shows how gullible people were manipulated to vote for Obama. Some of the cable companies sold their(your) data to the campaign (that is what the narrator said). There is something very wrong here. It is no longer one person one vote -- it is a dumb down electorate voting in droves to the person who cheats and manipulates them the most.

edutcher म्हणाले...

Remember Desert Fox?

Well, it's time to wag the dog yet again.

Now Benghazi will be buried, completely. If the tinfoil was that the WH and CIA were shipping arms to the rebels, it will become moot now that they will start sending the military anyway. We will never know what or why about Benghazi.

People keep saying that, but we're still talking about it.

And not just us.

I'm no fan of the Fox poll, but look at what they say.
