They seem to be getting a bit worried. And with good reason -- even the BBC's North American editor is sitting up and taking notice:
In the interests of full disclosure I have to say I have not in the past been persuaded that allegations of a cover-up were a big deal. It seemed to me a partisan attack based on very little.
[but]
However you read the motives, the state department and apparently the White House did get the CIA to change its story.
This is now very serious, and I suspect heads will roll.
Somebody addressed the existence of ghosts in the Sylvia Browne thread. I have this question: if they exist, why aren't the ghosts of CIA directors past waterboarding Julian Assange in the White House Reflecting Pool? Does Bill Murray have them locked up or something?
The Democrats excuse for ignoring Benghazi is that the Republicans talked about it first. This is thinking like a campaign manager, not a President or Secretary of State or an unbiased reporter. This an acknowledgment that at the highest levels of this administration and of the mainstream media they think like campaign managers. There is no such thing as an American to them - as in "my fellow Americans". The only people they will protect and defend are Democrats and not them either if that would embarrass a more important Democrat. See, because notice this about Benghazi -a lower Democrat doing what the President asked him to do can be attacked by a mob and left to die and the President will do nothing except go to bed and fall asleep and the Democrats and the media will all say: Nothing to see here, move along.
The Bloodroot leaf If you look at the photo of the bloodroot leaf at these two sites you can see a part of how the leaf looked as it unfolded over time
I had hoped to spare you this, you have been through so much, what, with the unerasable-from-memory photos of morbid obesity you were exposed to earlier today, I'm gathering. But it's come to this, you've been shown this much already.
It's been a long time since I've thrown a table around a picture just to have colored background. Boy, is that ever crap coding, but there it is.
Last Day of School (intentionally capitalized) we would explode off the bus and line up our report cards on the sideboard.
Once he came home, Papa gave us three boys Mohawk haircuts with the clippers. For the next few days we WERE Mohawk Indians. We rampaged across the back yard and barn in nothing but underwear and our mohawks. We would find blood-root plants and use the juice of the roots and stem as war paint, just like the real Mohawks.
I seem to remember lots of yelling in sort of pigeon english.
This would only last till Sunday when Papa's clippers would turn our heads into regular crew-cuts. Because of course Indians don't go to church.

Blood root *is* medicinal and I would love to have some in my yard. A poultice of the leaves encourages blood clotting and acts as an anesthetic. I look for it when I'm out hiking, just in case.
I do note soon-to-blossom hyacinths in the background.
“You gave me hyacinths first a year ago; They called me the hyacinth girl.” —Yet when we came back, late, from the Hyacinth garden, Your arms full, and your hair wet, I could not Speak, and my eyes failed, I was neither Living nor dead, and I knew nothing, Looking into the heart of light, the silence. Obama's?
We all discussed this as it was happening.. They called it a protest, a demonstration because: 1) State department did not heed the warnings prior to the attack; 2) Obama did not send help, did not do anything to save the people as the attack was happening; 3) it is obvious the WH didn't want the attack and an appropriate response exploding in their faces just before the election; 4) WH didn't want the true purpose of Benghazi "post" coming to light which is where I think the investigations should focus. That will also explain the cover-up. {why is nobody asking why Stevens was there on that fateful night? what was he doing there? WH, State, CIA were all complicit in whatever was going on there which is why they all went along with the cover-up. But Obama should be held accountable for going to sleep when those people were getting killed and then lying about it.}
From the day of the attack until this week, the White House spin was too clever by half. In the weeks and months after the attack White House spokesmen said they were investigating the story, an internal review was under way. When the story blew open again, last week, they said it was too far in the past: "Benghazi happened a long time ago." Jay Carney, the White House press secretary, really said that.
Think of that. They can't give answers when the story's fresh because it just happened, they're looking into it. Eight months later they don't have anything to say because it all happened so long ago.
Think of how low your opinion of the American people has to be to think you can get away, forever, with that.
Here is the summary: Obama didn't want to send any help because that would interfere with his election and therefore, lied that it was just a protest, a demonstration and not an attack that they should take seriously. This is what the WH said and did.
As for heads rolling, there will probably be a few, but low-level and symbolic more than anything else. The only true accountability is at the ballot box, and ultimately America in the aggregate will decide to countenance this sort of behavior, or not.

It looks medicinal.
anent all things Benghazi, not only is the Choom Gang (it's not an Administration, God knows) is trying to discredit all of this because (are you ready?) the Romster tried to use it politically, but now we have a closed door huddle with the press on news there are more whistleblowers to come.
And some phony folksy likes to talk about good times, good times.

@beta: I don't think the leaf unfolded; I think it "spread."
If you gently express Robert Pant;s Beaver Glands you get Castoreum, the vital ingredient for Imitation Vanilla Fudge.
John Bonham choked to death on his own Beaver Gland Castoreum.
