"Mr. Pickup Truck-Driving Everyman has a home in New Hampshire..."

"... in addition to his primary home and three rental condos in Massachusetts and the timeshare in Aruba. And since the Boston media market—where Brown, of course, has had a lot of coverage, since Boston is in Massachusetts, where he's been a state and United States senator—extends into New Hampshire, residents of the state are very familiar with him."

Carpetbagging alert from Kos.

Shall we discuss democrat's multiple homes, the size of those homes, and Hillary's cattle futures?

oh wait, I mean, Fox News, Rush Limbaugh and "How dare he!"

That's it? That probably doesn't cover Kerry's docking fees.
If every elected democrat were held to that standard there would be no federal, state or local budget deficits.

Next thing you'll know is that he used a phony identity to advance himself professionally

He comes off as much more down-to-earth than almost all the US Senators. Certainly the most down-to-earth of the New England ones.

This may be a show, but it's a good show.

Be really funny if he'd said he was going to do it instead of telling the reporter he wasn't ruling anything out.

Ehrmagherd, he owns property in other states! Unlike poor ole downtrodden Fauxcapriushontas who only practices law in other states when she's not posing (not in actual photos of course) for diversity profiles at Harvard.

At least he didn't pull a fake Indian schtick to get a high paying prestigious job.

Sorry to threadjack, but Hot Air loves the new Great Gatsby movie, and the very first comment notes that "all attempts at making Gatsby have been mediocre at best, because the genius of Gatsby is Fitzgerald’s writing which does NOT translate to screen…" followed by four Althouse-worthy sentences.

If only his name was Hilary. All would be gleeful.

The left doesn't like carpetbagging now? Good thing Hilary! left the Senate.

So Kos still exists huh? Who'd a thunk it?

I am not really sure that electing a himbo to the Senate is really in the best interests of good government. At least with John Kerry one could have reasonably concluded that he possessed some attributes that appeal to voters beyond simple physical appearance. Although what these might have been largely escaped me over the years.

Hmm between a himbo or a gigollo what's a poor Massachusettes to do?

Doesn't he know that that is Jeanne Shaheen's seat?

How dare he.

Bobby Kennedy did the same thing using the motto, "Do unto others, then move to another state".

In the great tradition of Bobby Kennedy and Hillary Clinton.

And yet Kos had nothing to say about Clinton claiming to be a New Yorker and nothing about Carrie Kennedy becoming ambassador to Japan. I have serious doubts she knows much more at Japan that what sushi is...

Brown ran a lousy campaign against Warren. Someone gave him the bright idea to pander to Democrats, so he ran ads that showed him to be "the most bi-partisan senator" and a lover of womyn's causes. His descent into Democrat-lite was not flattering. He got away from the authenticity on actual issues that won him the previous election.

I'm not saying he needs to be the arch-conservative standard-bearer. He just needed not to co-opt the other side's arguments in a weak attempt to get votes.

My point is that if he's going to run another weak-kneed campaign, then don't bother the good people of NH with it.

Brown is a classic overachiever who started out with the deck stacked against him (mother on welfare, sexually abused as a child, caught stealing as a child and admonished by a judge) and overcame. Isn't that what lefties celebrate? ha ha ha....

Bill Clinton started out wearing a Casio or an IronMan because he wanted everyone to know he was a runner.

He switched to a regular watch right about the time of the haircut on the tarmac.

Wanted to look more presidential, was my surmise at the time.

Time, that is.

We should be thankful that not every man is "everyman." We should be thankful that America is not a worker's paradise. We should be thankful that individual dignity is still respected in America.

Anyway, the only legitimate criticism which could be offered in this context is if the benefits were earned through involuntary exploitation (e.g. redistributive change) or fraud.

Well, he had plenty to say about Ned Lamont, the cable tv executive who spent nearly $13 million on his failed Senate campaign in 2006. Kos endorsed him.

Somehow I have a feeling Markos wouldn't care if it was a Kennedy or a Clinton.

Kos? What's that? Is it related to the Daily Kos that was pretty popular a while back? Last I heard, that guy went into advertising or something. Not sure the specifics, but it involved making really creepy commercials.

I wonder what he's doing now.
