Scott Walker: "There's a difference between being a strong advocate on a given position versus being against someone."
"I think I can say that with some authority, whether you all agree or disagree with the things I've done over the last 2 years, there obviously have been a lot of personal attacks against me and my family. But I've tried to ensure, hopefully, the best thing I've passed on to my children is even in times like that - don't respond in kind. Stand up for your principles, don't back (down) from those, but don't ever make it a personal issue."

Now I think Madison Man is actually Scott Walker.
I thought he was going to be indicted, any day now.....
Wish he were my governor.
He is dumb, not wrong, but dumb.
Nice illustration of Walker's point.
Wish he were my governor.
Wish you could have him.
Wouldn't it be great if we could swap positions? Obama as WI governor and Walker as US president.
Wish he were my governor.
Me too.
"Wish you could have him."
I'll trade you Jerry Brown. As a bonus....I'll throw in CalPers.
I'll trade you Jerry Brown.
Today?
"That's the beer that made Milt Famey walk us."
Yeah, I can see why garage is such a big Jerry Brown fan. He's not trying to force state employees to bear more of their own pension costs.
Oh, wait.
Gov. Jerry Brown’s administration is pushing back against labor union efforts to roll back some of the pension changes made by state lawmakers last year.
The governor has vowed to fight any legal or legislative effort that he views as softening the law, which requires current employees to pay more of their own retirement costs and increases the retirement age for public workers.
Sooner or later, reality has a way of forcing people to pay attention to it.
"I thought he was going to be indicted, any day now....."
Announced this morning on Milwaukee radio that the John Doe investigation is now closed and no charges will be filed.
Me:I'll trade you Jerry Brown.
Garage: Today?
Instantly. And as an extra added bonus we'll give you for free the California Environmental Protection Agency.....no shipping and handling!! Act now!!!
I like this guy.
Even more.

Ann, this might be a good time to sit garage down and familiarize him with the old Greek proverb about taking care in those things for which one wishes.
Instantly. And as an extra added bonus we'll give you for free the California Environmental Protection Agency.....no shipping and handling!! Act now!!!
Deal. I'll take Brown, the EPA, the ocean, a growing economy, and jobs.
A workable alternative is for Garage to move to California.
To Garage;
You want CA jobs? Unemployment rate in CA 9.8%, WI 6.6%.
See link for 12/31/12 from BLS: http://www.bls.gov/web/laus/laumstrk.htm
What is it you"re smoking?
Scott Walker: "There's a difference between being a strong advocate on a given position versus being against someone."
Not to a Progressive, there isn't.

Growing economy? CA is hemorrhaging jobs, money, businesses, and people.
For all of us who love you, put down that Demon Rum, and forsake the Path of Iniquity!
What is it you"re smoking?
I think he might be dropping N-bomb into his home brew, b/c he seems to think that swapping governors w/CA would also mean swapping Lake Michigan for the Pacific Ocean.

Yes, literally, that's what I thought!
Well, it wasn't much more fanciful than the rest of your list.
Sorry, California, you can't have our governor. We'll keep our better economy, reined-in government unions, budget surplus, etc. and leave you with Moonbeam, out-of-control government unions, millions of illegal aliens on government benefits, etc.
But good luck. I wish California could become the golden state it was when I was younger, but unfortunately it may be too late.
People value water up north.
Especially those sensitive native Americans who make up 5 of Wisconsin's top 6 polluters.
We'll keep our better economy, reined-in government unions, budget surplus,
Here is your Walker "surplus".
Fiscally conservative!
@garage -- Deval Patrick straight up. There's only $3K difference in salary, so their shouldn't be any cap issues.
He's standing 10 feet tall from Ashland to Monroe.

LOLZ.

I'd be willing to trade Pat Quinn for a crack addled Bangkok hooker and take my chances.

Not so fast, there sweetcheeks.
I got a Pat Quinn, An Illinois EPA, and a hereditary legislature.
You might have an Ocean, but we got a lake and politicians that you can actually buy.
Ah, nothing draws out the delusional Manboobs Mahal like a Scott Walker thread.
When is that indictment coming, fatboy?
Just becaues you choose to only expose yourself to leftist propoganda, does not make the reality of Wisconsin and California's fiscal situation stop occuring.
Why don't you move to California if it's so great, eh pudgy? You make oh so much money, and I hear that all those high earners are just flocking there.
You might have an Ocean, but we got a lake and politicians that you can actually buy.
But do they stay bought?
Wait a minute.
I will be happy to send you Andy Cuomo, his father Mario, Charlie Rangel, Chuck Shumer and I will even throw in A-Rod.

Can I trade Ron Johnson and Brett Favre in the deal?
Walker's not indicted yet? Man, your justice system sure moves slow. Garage has assured us now for some time it was any day. Quite some time. A really longggg time.
I would love to have Ron Johnson but I don't need Brett Farve.
I already have Anthony Weiner for that spot.
Ron Johnson was my second favorite Giant running back after Tucker Fredrickson.
I am glad that he got to be elected Senator. Good deal.
I hear that LT is gonna get Lautenberg's seat in Jersey so they can have a matched set of whoremongers.
Read'em and weep, douchebag.

SECRET ROUTERS!!!!!!!!!
Your predictions of Walker being indicted failed as surely as your marriage.
Suck it, fatass.
I love that term.....whoremongers.
Just like fishmonger.
Hey could we use that as a sly euphemism for lesbians?
"It has long been suspected that Jodie Foster was a fishmonger....and she finally admitted in a speech that she had found Nemo."
Take my governor. Please.
Sarah Palin was unavailable for comment.

I think recent history has shown that to be the case.

Fold.
Yes that's what A-Rod does.
Just like a cheap suitcase.
Garagie, your anti-Walker piece regurgitates talking points from Kathleen Vinehout. Since Walker beat her in the recall election, and she's still a Dem state senator who would like to get back into majority power, she wouldn't be too biased about this, would she?
Where can I go to get an objective analysis on the state of Wisconsin's finances? I'm serious. If you don't believe what's coming out of Walker's camp, why should anyone believe what is coming out of Vinehout's camp?
I hate this aspect of politics. No one is trying to do a good job; they are just trying to hold onto power.
Sometimes a grown up gets involved in politics.
Kind of refreshing.
