Georgetown’s record is 25-7, not 25-6. Florida Gulf Coast’s record in the Atlantic Sun was 13-5, not 17-1. Florida Gulf Coast became the seventh No. 15 seed to beat a No. 2 seed, not the sixth. Georgetown has now failed to advance past the Round of 16 in the past six years under Coach John Thompson III, not the past seven. Florida Gulf Coast forward Eddie Murray was incorrectly referred to as Eddie Murphy. Florida Gulf Coast was misidentified in some instances as Gulf Coast College."Some instances" must be at least 3, so at least 7 errors. Approximately 1 error per 100 words. That's got to be some kind of record.
Eddie Murray was incorrectly referred to as Eddie Murphy. Man, that's embarrassing.
Rough for Georgetown too. LOL.

You get what you pay for.
Just take down your NYT pay wall and we can call it even.
They weren't the only ones.
They have a huge building on 8th ave. What are they keeping in there?
Rough for Georgetown...
I'm almost afraid to open the WaPo sports section this morning.

Subtenants.
Lol
Wait... you arent kidding are you?
Lem, I'd be willing to bet I'm right. I know NY Times reporters and editors and they are never at the office. It's WFH for them.

We have a right to know.
The Times is a real estate company that happens to have a money-losing hobby called newspaper publishing.
Just caught the last half. That was a fun game to watch, definitely rough for Georgetown.
The stats were shown during and at the end of the game, season records, upset history and such, if you watched the game.
Several years ago, I read a news article that mentioned the "E-3 Hawkeye jet fighter."
The E-3 is the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS). It is a jet but is derived from a Boeing 707. It most definitely isn't a fighter.
The Hawkeye is the E-2, the Navy carrier-based equivalent of the AWACS. It's a turboprop, not a jet and not a fighter.
So, "E-3 Hawkeye jet fighter" is at least 3 errors in 4 words.
And then there was another news story that described a pistol as a "semiautomatic revolver." There actually were a small number of semiautomatic revolvers made (surprise me) but they're quite rare and unlikely to have been used in the crime mentioned in the story.
speaking of lameness and basketball.
Why can POTUS get his brackets (5/5) in on time with much fanfare, but can't get the legally required Budget in on time? (1/5)
Priorities?
At least their not conscious lies.

Sorry im on the phone and the conn falls off sometimes.
s/b they're.
I Cant see that content on mobile, sorry Meade.
"Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, the article was correct."
Funny how when they do important screwups they barely mention -- and sometimes do not make -- corrections.
This makes them look attentive to critical things.
Which they, the NYT, definitely is not.

This is what James Taranto would file under "Other Than That, The Story Was Accurate" on Best Of The Web!
Makes you wonder how crappy journalism has always been and we just never noticed.
That alley oop dunk with about 2 minutes was a sweet thing to watch.
Joy on the court, and then defeat in the body language of Georgetown.
Hundreds of Georgetown grads no doubt read that article and were outraged by its myriad inaccuracies. Then they turned to the political news section of the paper and took every word in it as Gospel.

Watched the game and loved it! The racist, anti-white Hoyas couldn't lose enough games to make me happy. They'd have to expand their schedule and lost to middle school teams. They're one of the reasons I refuse to give my money to the racist supporting Catholic church.
Going back to the heavy attitude of Georgetown BB of the 80s, I've always enjoyed them losing. Yesterday was one of the better defeats, not in the class of the 1982 Championship game, but nice.
G'Town should fire John Thompson III and get a real coach who will run a meritocracy that ultimately be more successful.
I recall an incident some years ago when Al Gore mistakenly said "Michael Jackson" when he meant "Michael Jordan".
Dan Quayle later quipped "that's a lot worse than mis-spelling 'potatoes' "
