yeah, since no college team at least no Div 1 team has ever had a first team female kicker and this gal has never ever kicked in a game, she's not the one. Let some babe become the starter in College, then there might be talk.
If she's got the skills, let her play. She can't be much smaller than a normal Peruvian kicker. I would pay money to see her knock a blocked field goal runner flat on his ass.
There is nothing wrong with a woman doing men's things, as long as the standards are not dropped to "make" it happen. And an NFL team will not do that for too long.
Sorry - not in the NFL - Not only trying to tackle, but ask Justin Tucker about BEING tackled (he tried running faker in the last Super Bowl) - imagine for a moment the IDEA of a woman being gang... ANYTHING.
1) Women will never be competitive QBs. Not enough upper-body strength. Not enough lower-body strength. They aren't playing in the same league. 2) This is why they'll never be in the league, even as kickers. You need a LOT of leg strength, and women don't have it in their genes for this. The top 1% of women, for leg strength, aren't even close to the top 1% of men for leg strength.
All for the notoriety and the camera time. It's a 15 minute fame whorefest on both her part and on the NFL. If and I mean this is a huge IF she ever gets so far as being put on a squad, she'll be 8th string, warm a bench, and never play in a single snap. EVER.
Let's assume for a second she does. She will get turned into paste the first chance a special teams player sneaks through to make a point by deliberately taking a 15 yard personal foul fuck up on her face.
Will there be anything left for men to do that women won't horn in on? Will we never get any peace at all? We can't even go to war to get free from them and now football too? It's just too much. Leave us alone.
My son's high school team had two girl kickers, identical twins. They had great accuracy, but no distance. There was also a male kicker who could put it in the end zone half the time on kick offs.
The girls could do a great pop up kick off that we could recover for an onside kick almost every game. The coach would put the guy and one of the girls in on the same kick off much of the time and the other team would have no idea where the kick was going or who would kick it. Great stuff for high school.
Interesting side note - one year they had 5 sets of twins on the football team including these two girls. Talk about seeing double.

BWAAAAahahahahahaaaa!
I think you've got the wrong sport --- Natl Foozball League maybe?
If you would pay money...etc.... you need to explain what a "field goal runner" is. And how any kicker knocks anyone on his ass.
Not interesting until someone comes along who actually has a chance (unless you're interested in lame publicity stunts).
That said, I don't think a female pro football player is a complete impossibility (they would probably have to be the accuracy specialist on a team that employed 2 kickers), they're just very very very unlikely.
Since she never kicked a ball in even a high school game this is just some wild hair idea. It tickles the fancy of people who like to believe that women are oppressed.

If by some miracle of skill, luck and social experimentation she makes it to a NFL training camp, she'll be destroyed the first time they do any sort of live drills. Yeah, I know she's a kicker and "shouldn't" see any contact, but in the real world kickers are getting knocked around on half the plays they're in. I'm picturing 11 defenders on special teams, frothing at the mouth and desperate to make the team, many of them 250 pound line backers who have been slamming All-Americans to the ground for years, encountering this little flower at full speed. Either they'll lay up out of an ingrained "don't hit girls" ethic, or that chick will be a pile of dislocations, bruises and tears.
Football players are probably like mathematicians. They all want women in the field.
In the case of mathematics, the women tend to direct themselves into membership in the women's workplace issues committee rather than fulfulling the mathematicians' hopes of an interesting dinner partner.
I think in football they tend to leave after the tenth pileup.

I know it is expected that concussion rules would ultimately change the game... but this is just ridiculous.
They intend to kill it in order to save it.
Roughing the kicker takes on broad new meaning.
Ice cube's chance in hell.
Once you let a girl be the kicker... you got to let the next girl try to be a quarterback... and so it goes.

Unless her last name is Romo, of course.
takes on broad...
I almost didn't catch that.
I try hard, sir.

Separate locker rooms is not conducive...
What are we talking about here?
Oh, oh, Mason. Don't look now, but they'll be replacing you with a girl.
to see her knock a blocked field goal runner flat on his ass.
I'd like to see any kicker... most never catch them (and there's talk of drastically changing or eliminating kick offs).
Good for her for trying. She won't make it, but my hat's off to her.
She's got balls.

I saw that movie - I hope this gal is as cute as Kathy Ireland was.

Go have yourself another triple latte.

I'm not seeing a downside to this.

They'll all want to be tight ends not wide receivers.
That's so interesting - what struck me was that she has a Masters from MIT in, basically, Sports Performance.
Wasn't there a Jerry Lewis movie with a plot like this? Or one of the Love Bug franchises?

Gimmick....plain and simple
Rush had some remarks about somebody's observation that a female kick-holder was at the bottom of the longest pileups he'd ever seen.
