Mum bought a washing machine and has the same one for forty years. I heard my parents say that once. By contrast, I've lived here four years and my washer and dryer were replaced twice. So that's three sets of brand new washer and dryers in four years.
There was no reason to change out the machines. Apparently the new ones are better so I got a new machines. The installers could not provide a reason why they were sent to change them out except the ladies (who I give shit to all the time) told them to.
So the moral of the incident is ... I do not know. I guess do small unexpected things for people and they do unexpected things back.
I have fallen into the role of Official Keeper of the Family Memories. This means that people have dropped off bags and boxes of old photos at my house. I was despairing at ever getting these preserved or organized until I read about Scan Cafe and Scan My Photos today.
Now to find time to sort thousands of photos into trash, send for scanning, home scan, and keep but don't scan.
I think I've been given this position because I haven't moved in ten years. If you wish to avoid this position, I recommend moving more often than at least one other responsible relative.
It was teutonic night at the ASO with Schubert's Rosamunde overture followed by Mendelssohn's violin Concerto in E minor, opus64.
The star was our handsome young Norwegian violinist, David Coucheron.
For some reason many of the audience tonight were young Chinese.
The evening ended on Rossini's Overture to William Tell (popularized as the Lone Ranger's theme music), though I doubt the young Chinese classical music lovers knew anything about the Lone Ranger.

That bag looks pretty full.
You have to use one of those industrial-strength Metcalfe bags for poop? I'm never getting a dog that big.
Maybe they're just coming back from the store?
I think Meade is just into recycling.

Sunny and 73 degrees on the beach today -- Northern students enjoying Spring Break.
Quick, is there a blonde with a platinum bob typing on the beach?
Isn't that a rather minimal snow removal job? Is there concrete beneath? When I lived there I would have felt unsatisfied leaving such a "path."
Eventually, the path will look like this.

The neighborhood cancelled all tours because the professors views were "too extreme and right wing."
Wow, someone's not clearing their sidewalk properly. I'm surprised no one in nanny-city Madison has complained to the city.
Its a small victory, of sorts, for the faux-peasant village look Althouse has been quietly campaigning for.

I brought this up prior, because Madison does have a snow removal ordination with fines. Snow has to be gone by noon the next day, or salted/sanded.

Derbyshire covers Oberlin and a nation of pussies.
Freeman, I'd say something about changing positions, but I dassent.
PS rh, you can't go wrong with a website whose motto is, "Cocktails, Countesses, and Mental Caviar".

That's one way to get seniors on a fixed income to sell their homes.
For some reason, there's no sidewalk there, just a dirt path, so what's cleared is as wide as the normal path.
It a very pretty path, by the way. I've put up photos of it many times.
Am I right in thinking that someone gave you a cute little puppy to dog-sit for a while and when they get him back he will be a monster?
Where's the brandy cask?
