I can't decide whether to be sad about this, or thrilled that this means that maybe by the time my baby boy is old enough to develop that Elmo obsession that kids seem to get these days, the annoying little creature won't be around any more.
To be on the defensive, as a scouting family. My concern isn't about gay adults, because there are plenty of married men with children who can harm children. My concern has to do young boys dealing with their own attractions as they go through puberty.
We wouldn't allow co-ed camping in tents with a bunch 13 year olds. So if a young man happens to be gay, I guess it would have to be a DADT situation.
Luckily we have renee to warn us about the danger married men pose to their children. Focus your attention there, there! not on the sweet and gentle older homos' obsession with boys.
Sorry Renee, Kevin Clash has admitted to this relationship but states - the boy was 18 and therefore a consenting adult! That doesn't sound like he was in the closet!
Now that the election is out of the way and Big bird is safe from the evil republicans desire to destroy all muppets, can some liberal who had a problem with saying we should cut PBS explain why we are still funding it? PBS may need to have been funded back when there was no cable, bit now we have channels for British programming, channels for nature programming, kids channels what have. And Sesame Street is a multimillion dollar operation, and govt ony provides about 5% of its budget. Meaning, it doesn't need govt to remain ENORMOUSLY profitable.are you saying that absent funding PBS the market somehow couldn't find a place for Sesame Street anywhere!? not on Nickelodeon! Or any of the other channels that cater to kids? He'll, why couldn't cable create muppet tv? give them there own channel which is 24 hours of Sesame Street.
Tere is literally no reason why PBS still needs funding. Besides, don't they have their pledge drives? Let people who want Sesame Street put their money where their mouth is?
But we're talking about continuing to fund something that was only really necessary before cable tv (meaning 25-30 years ago). And the world is such that even cable tv is getting long in the tooth.
Democrats, start being the party of progress and get out of the 70's. we're broke. We don't need to fund PBS anymore.
When Pee Wee Herman was caught masturbating in a porn theater, he lost his Saturday morning show. When a PBS puppeteer gets caught sexing up a person who was, by the perp's admission, at least 18, and may have been as young as 16, well that's his personal business. From my own perspective, I'd like to keep out out of children's programming the kind of people who would act on any sexual attraction (ie, gay or straight) with people who are 20 years their junior.
Who would allow their child, even if an legal young adult have a consensual relationship with a man in their late forties without at least speaking up????
Makes me wonder if this young adult didn't have a strong support system at home.
Makes me wonder if this young adult didn't have a strong support system at home.
I would venture a guess that 98% of young adults who get involved in sexual relationships with questionable partners don't have a strong support system at home.

You really should think before you gloat.
And click the link too....
Another Democrat scandal kept hush hush until after the election?
Scott's got a point there. The "Tickle Me Elmo" jokes take on a whole new level of meaning now.
Any one who sticks their hand up a puppet's ass and speaks in a high voice all day has got to be a little fucked up.
Puppet "Masters" and "Clowns" are weird people. And likely pedis.
In Spanish "Elmo" means "The Mo".
Just sayin'.
I heard Grover knows some things about the Street.
I saw his documentry from 2011 on PBS. The guy was narcissitic. He had Elmo with him at the birth of his daughter when he was married.
I can't decide whether to be sad about this, or thrilled that this means that maybe by the time my baby boy is old enough to develop that Elmo obsession that kids seem to get these days, the annoying little creature won't be around any more.
Anybody whose voice is that high, you'd better watch.

Where were you hiding out 10/5 - 11/5 when the Romster was winning?
Lube technician on Sesame Street?
Or feather fluffer for Big Bird?
If he was 18 and legal, there is nothing to see. Men always go after 18 year old women.
I never saw the advantage of being with someone so much older.
Misleading headlines are so annoying!
I thought they were going to kill off Elmo. Which would be awesome.
Gays and young boys - often not a good mix unless you're a member of NAMBLA.
This is why - among other reasons - The Boy Scouts done't want Gay Scoutmasters.
rcocean,

The AP refers to this as an underage relationship. Here is their online headline:
"Elmo puppeteer accused of underage relationship"
aka statutory rape?

shiloh was organizing The Million Puppet March, then.
What'd you get, twenty people? Another success for Democrat big ideas and a sure sign of Obama's coming victory. Good job, shiloh!
ricpic, You know 'the voice of Elmo' was married (now divorced) with a child.
"ricpic, You know 'the voice of Elmo' was married (now divorced) with a child."
Renee, you know 'the voice of Elmo' is gay?
"ricpic, You know 'the voice of Elmo' was married (now divorced) with a child."
Renee, you know 'the voice of Elmo' is gay?
Are you 'gay' if you never came out?
Serious question.
I ask, because there are lot of men who have sex with other men and do not consider themselves gay.
Sorry Renee, Kevin Clash has admitted to this relationship but states - the boy was 18 and therefore a consenting adult! That doesn't sound like he was in the closet!
He admitted it after the fact. He hid the relationship, when it was occurring.

I see you said other "men."
The boy has lawyers. Why?
Money extraction possibly. How much does Clash make as the man behind Elmo?
Otherwise, the boy was not really a man.
When Pee Wee Herman was caught masturbating in a porn theater, he lost his Saturday morning show.

He's guilty, I tell you. Guilty!
He's been accused hasn't he?

Makes me wonder if this young adult didn't have a strong support system at home.

Makes me wonder if this young adult didn't have a strong support system at home.

Since you blogged the accusation, you should blog the recantation.

Sorry "barely legal" is wrong.
Any man, gay or straight, just waiting for someone to turn 18 is nasty.
