In any event, that's hardly the tackiest or most tasteless item at the Gettysburg museum, I can assure you. The last time my wife and I were there, we bought a - well, I don't know how to describe it except by saying it was a plastic stick with Lincoln's head on top, and as you squeezed a trigger, his mouth would open and close. Like something you would use to pluck an item off a high shelf.
We called it "Zombie Lincoln." You know, "Four scares and seven fears ago. . ."
No, those are still there, next to the Little Round Top pillows. Curiously, though, you can only sleep on those things facing to the right. If you face to the left, you get so lonely you can't fall sleep.
I didn't know they were marketing the Booth doll separately from the complete set of presidential-assassin bobbleheads.
I tried to order a John Hinkely from their website, but was told they don't offer him anymore because he was an ATTEMPTED assassin and, in any case, he's an artist now.

Or, as an actual living person, he has right of publicity.
I still want my set of Dr. Strangelove Action Figures!
Only if they come complete with essence and prsious bodily fluids.
The scene in Armageddon with Steve Buscemi(spelling?) on the nuclear device started me laughing out loud, but no one else had seen Dr. Strangelove, so I was the only one. It's a shame so many good movies aren't watched by people anymore because they are in black and white.
My wifes' daughter actually came to us and asked us to name some good black and white films, out of the blue. She was smart enough to recognize there was stuff she was missing...good for her.
There are iconic figures lost in those movies, that play out before our eye's with no one recognizing them but for a few. Sam Marlowe, Wilmer from the Maltese Falcon...heck, Godzilla. Kurasawa has more influence on American film than Lucas, or Cameron ever will. And I'd bet that they would admit it too.

And John Ford influenced Kurosawa. Every once in awhile you have to go back and watch them. "The Maltese Falcon" is seamless. Nothing is there that shouldn't be there.

In a related story, the "Grassy Knoll Putting Green" executive toy was pulled from a similar museum in Dallas.
Hmm. I would have bought one.

The "Sic Semper Tyrannis" Plushie (in blue and grey!) has been reduced in price....
In some instances, it it weren't for poor taste, there'd be no taste at all. This would be one of those.
I always wanted someone to market a Katherine Hepburn bobble head doll.

I like Kate.
The ultimate tacky (and amusing) Bobble would be one of Monica with an open mouth portrayed with the base done like a blue dress.

I think the best medium for that would be a wooden German "smoker" style figure.
that way the lever in the back could make the hand salute.

Awww, I wanted a Mary Surratt bobblehead.
Mitt Romney Bobblehead doll: Head pivots, hair doesn't move
Newt Gingrich Bobblehead doll: body bobbles
Monica Lewinsky Bubblehead doll: Bubbahead
Ron Paul Bobblehead doll: Ron Paul
John Wilkes Booth bobbleheads??? The mind bobbles.
But they still have the lawn jockeys, right?
Next to get yanked will be the Julius Garesche bobbleheads at Stones River National Battlefield (too soon?).
Also, the Devil's Den pitchforks at G'burg.

Christopher in MA,
So that'd be Zombie-Lincoln-Head-On-A-Stick?
It may not be Lincoln, but they've got a shirt for that:

Can you still get the Fort Pillow pillow? I've heard they're kinda lumpy.
That's actually terrible, and I denounce myself.
Booth killed a Republican. Is that not socially approved under this administration?

The Alex P. Keaton bobblehead from the NBC Studios store is now quite the collectible!
(makes reservations for Hell)
I always pictured that as more of a Tickle-Me-Keaton.
Another blow to the intellectual property marketing plan of the estate of Lee Harvey Oswald.

I was shocked to read about this tasteless novelty. To think it was for sale just 146 years after Mr. Lincoln's untimely demise.
Looking at it, though, I think the entire stock could be easily converted to John Cleese bobbleheads.
