"I see it now... You brought to my attention the beauty that is supposed to be in life."

"Life is like a road and we are all supposed to walk down it, transforming into different people at every crossroad. Sometimes we hit road blocks. Sometimes we're not sure how we'll continue, but we always transform into something that can get us through the day."

I would say, 100 octane nightmare fuel, but some of the other videos are even more freakish.

They came for food, and then these protesters had to read this "mic check" out loud?

Aren't they aware that taxpayers have to pay for the "services?" Hardly likely the thugs will convince anyone to improve the budget with money for them.

Just another example, though, of how Sarah Palin just nails it! They're not "angry" at the banks IF they can get bailouts, too.

They are, in fact, all about ENTITLEMENTS.

Sarah Palin's lone voice used the correct work: We, the American People are all about EMPOWERMENT!

Not tax rip off's.

Who changes the litter box at Occupy Pussy Street...I mean that was so sweet.

Cats are only territorial. If you live with a cat, it is because you live at the same house where the cat lives.

If you live with a dog it is because the dog goes wherever you go.

I like both cats and dogs. People come in different types too, and God loves them all.

Is there any advice for Scott Walker? Sure. He needs to hire a comedy writer. He has to become aware that telling a good joke often places your opponent in a lock hold.

Reagan did it, easily. Nancy, his wife, however, didn't have the talent for this. I remember reading that she was quoted as saying all her best retorts come after the fact. When she's at home and in the bathtub. Then she realizes what she could have done with that vicious question tossed at her, to stun her.

Don't forget. The motive is to STUN an opponent.

Humor, however, is what the pros learn. (Though I remember being in the audience at a Lewis Black concert. In San Diego. When a heckler said something so funny, Black just cracked up. And, bent over double, with laughter.)

I wonder if Toastmaster's teaches this trick?

Feh.

Photoshopping cats without legs.

Must have been a school project; or doing this video was a pure waste of time.

NO TALENT.

Wow... that dude is a real artist. Click on the "Cyriak" channel and look at the rest of them. I especially like "Something" (also called "Why Study Home Economics"). Some serious fractal work in there. The one called "Hand Fingers" seems to be a simple fractal study but it's particularly mesmerizing.

I use Picasa [free from google] for camera shots. From the program you can upload to a web album.

Here is another shot. He's a good sized boy for 8 weeks.

Ok, I have two pictures in Picasa. How do I link to them?

You have to upload them online to the web album. In Picasa there is a "upload" button on the bottom left. From the web album, on the right, there is a "link to this photo" link.

This should help, too:

www.w3schools.com/HTML/html_links.asp

It is also useful for making those nifty, blue-highlighted links . Just cut and paste the line under "HTML Link Syntax" and fill in the "url" and "Link text".

AllenS ayon kay ...

garage, can you see the crane that I built in the background?

garage mahal ayon kay ...

Yea seen it. I thought maybe you were using it as a cherry picker of sorts. I take it the salt eats up those old Jeep chassis? That 1980 shown looks in great shape.

AllenS ayon kay ...

The frame was bad in the back, and has extra steel welded to it. I flushed the mouse nests and acorns and the mud and the crud out of it with a garden hose, then after it was sandblasted, I poured rusty metal rustoleum in it. Lifted it with the crane and tipped it side to side go get the rustoleum all over the inside of the frame. I primered it and painted it gloss white. Looks clean doesn't it?

I'm putting the snow plow mount on it now, and will post more pictures at a later café.

garage mahal ayon kay ...

Looks tits, nice work. My friend loves those old Jeeps, he just bought a newer one after his last Jeep finally bit it. He had someone weld whatever was left in the ass end. Thing was a deathrap on the highway, I hated riding it when I was helping him load or haul something.

How bad was it getting everything off the chassis? I can imagine a lot of rusted tight bolts and fasteners.

madAsHell ayon kay ...

Why are you dumping money into a 31 year old automobile that you intend to use as a snow-plow??

AllenS ayon kay ...

I had to heat every nut and bolt with my torch. And here's a big tip -- once the nut is hot, put some bees wax on it. It works like magic for some reason.

AllenS ayon kay ...

Because I've been plowing snow with a 1949 IH Farmall model H tractor since 1973, and for two years before that with a 1946 John Deere model H tractor. I'm tired of freezing my ass off.

madAsHell ayon kay ...

Ohhhhhh...!!

AllenS ayon kay ...

Here's what I've been plowing snow with. Note homemade plow.

Here's my 1966 Austin Healey 3000 that I restored some years ago. I bought the car in 1968 right after I got out of the Army.

AllenS ayon kay ...

garage mahal ayon kay ...

Yeah not fun in the wind I bet. I have a short city driveway and that ain't fun sometimes with the snowblower.

Awww! You fuck, now I have to set aside your liberalism and regard you as human. Awwww!

Nichevo ayon kay ...

And AllenS, good on you for all that work! Gee I wish I knew someone in NY area with the skills etc to help me with my 01 Suburban.

JAL ayon kay ...

Nichevo -- go online and do a hunt for someone in your area. Or find one of the restoration blogs and ask there.

Have a family member who did an incredible job on an *old* IH Scout. It's all online and a mind boggler what people can do (like Allen S).

Speaking of Allen -- do you put weights on when you move snow? I have a little Yanmar 2000D with ag tires, and wonder how good it will be for moving snow. The bush hog gives me weight in the rear now, but thinking that's not convenient in the snow. We don't get so much here -- the guy down the road with the bobcat and other large toys usually cleans us out (helps that he's a volunteer fireman, also ;-) ). But my driveway and outside the garage will need some help if we get anything big.

AllenS ayon kay ...

I have wheel weights and tire chains.
