Bloomberg is now a conservative again? Give me a break.
GE totally fucked up the Hudson River and Jack Welsh bragged how he got the company off and how what it did really was not so bad. I am not for demonizing corporations, but GE sometimes makes that position difficult.
The printed version is titled “The Secret Sins of Koch Industries,” while the online version is titled “Koch Brothers Flout Law With Secret Iran Sales.”
weren't you just arguing exactly the opposite, Byro-berg the zionist-sockpuppet, aka Fred4pres,EDH,etc on leftist sites, chiming in with the "Kochs are fascists" ,etc.? Maybe we link to some of yr fave comrade sites for phunn.
In the late '80s, there was a left-wing activist group connected to the no-nukes movement called In-Fact that got a lot of traction, especially among Hollywood celebs, for its goal of boycotting GE's medical instruments division (in PA, I believe).
Why the boycott? Because, said the boycotters, GE made "all" the triggers used in America's nuclear arsenal. (Don't even know if that was true.)
Best part was that there was a big Malibu fundraiser co-sponsored by Rhea Perlman, then starring in "Cheers," the biggest show on...NBC...owned by GE.
I was invited by the other co chair, a doctor I knew. I suggested that this movement would be a lot more effective if his co-chair gave a press conference at which she said, "In protest of my network's parent company's nuclear policies, I will be sitting out the October 11 episode of Cheers this year."
He said, and I'm not kidding, "That would be career suicide."
I said, "Yeah, but if your boycott is successful, all those people in Pennsylvania working the assembly line on MRI machines will lose their jobs."
He said--and again, not kidding--"Well, someone has to pay the price."
Because a subsidiary of a subsidiary in France doing something that was and still is legal under US law, nearly ten years ago, - and which Koch corporate policy now bans, is supposed to make me have a Two Minutes Hate?
Against two guys who are vocally for gay marriage and legalized pot, and a more minimal state?
Guess I ain't "conservative" enough to know why I should hate them for that.
@J " ... sleazy business dealings with foreign countries should be exposed."
If you would read the articles you would understand that those sleazy dealings aren't. But, you have the right idea.
Please make sure to channel your righteous anger for the hundreds of murders aided by Fast and Furious. And the billions wasted on "green" companies and unions.

GE used to pay a 42 cent dividend, now it pays 15 cents. This is plenty enough of a reason to despise this company.
Impressive reporting by Hinderaker at Powerline.

The online version is now titled: "Koch Brothers Flout Law Getting Richer With Secret Iran Sales."
After all, "getting richer" is the new crime, at least if you're conservative.
I'm not sure this Koch => Tea Party => Republican candidate attack strategy is effective anyway.

Sounds like Bloomyberg has some... Koch envy
Bloomie is a closet Democrat.
I wish I knew what "J" was saying and, unlike Stanley Fish, I would like to meet him in person in order to understand his redeeming qualities.
Funny how "conservatives" ignore the issue of the Kochs selling to our enemies...its all about the messenger, right?

I would like to meet him in person in order to understand his redeeming qualities.
Well, for one, he says that he can bench press 450. If true, it was redeeming right up until the second he mentioned it to everyone.
Backto your usual pathetic ad hominems, eh, Squat, now with yr LDS boyfriend Byro the perpaka....
You a... Koch guy ,Scottie? Aren't they pals of GlennBeck too, another of yr heroes? Tough call there, eh yokel--
"Bloomberg is now a conservative again? Give me a break."
I don't understand your comment. Power Line is calling Bloomberg on its liberal bias.
I think people are confusing Bloomberg News with Mayor Bloomberg.
I think people are confusing Bloomberg News with Mayor Bloomberg.
The Mayor's an autocrat-in-training. That's a Democrat trademark

I thought that's where Bloomie made the millions he used to become Gotham's Nanny. I mean, it's his op.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Bloomberg did start Bloomberg News (or whatever it's called), but I doubt if he wrote the story.
Bloomberg didn't write the story but I am certain that he has had an influence on the selection of the editorial staff there.
By the same token, if he didn't like the product they are putting out, he would certainly take corrective measures.
The authors are Asjylyn Loder and David Evans.

Unquestionably. I was thinking editorial influence, as dbp notes.
Miss AA's a Koch gal, isn't she?yeah. They've probably already sent her a few thousand shekels, hushhush like.

Certainly possible, but I don't know how we'd ever find out.

Right. Just not the people who can afford it.
Well, at long last, I'm boycotting GE.
machine: Yeah.

Or maybe I'm just not stupid.
Talking to yourself again ,eh Byro the GOP sockpuppet. Sigisvald. Whoa, deep , druggieboy. I doubt your preacher would approve would he trash.

More likely, Charles and David Koch have never heard of Ann Althouse.
Fuck GE. If I ran into Immelt in a dark alley, I'm not sure I wouldn't attack him.
My message at 10:51 is from a different J.
