I'll never forget seeing the two senators from Alabama at seemingly the moment they realized they'd been zapped and neutralized by the Tea Party. You'd never seen two more lost men. The center had been pulled out from underneath them, their axis had realigned, and they were deer in the headlights. They did not know which end was up. Their world (it seemed at the time, it remains to be seen whether this holds up) will never be the same. Now that they've kind of been revealed, they seem just sad and pathetic, parroting words and lines.
If the Democrats cannot take advantage of the split the TPers have created in the Republican Party then they are pretty pathetic themselves.
But maybe no one really cares anymore.

Just watched the Chaz clip. How can that even count as dancing? That was just walking and standing.
(But I loved Sonny's "Laugh at Me" when it came out. Had the single and played it over and over. It was right at the time when I was getting in trouble for short skirts and long bangs, so I really identified with Sonny's supposed ordeal over his clothes, his absurd fur vest.)
