Unfortunately, for Brewers fans, it looks more like a Cardinals game than a Brewers game.

I have a bad feeling about this. Last time the Brewers made it to the World Series, I was somewhere near Elroy on a cold and rainy afternoon, listening to the game on the car radio and it was traumatic. Not again! Not the mother-loving Cards again! Oy!

Obama's daughters, Sasha and Malia, each dropped a scroll inside. A White House aide confirmed that they were signed copies of the president's inaugural speech and his address to the 2008 Democratic National Convention.
Thankfully, MLK was a "King," not just a Queen.
In a private ceremony with Queen Elizabeth, Her Royal Highness bequeathed to the Obamas one of the earliest known copies of William Shakespeare’s Henry V. She also presented him with the framed orginal sheet music of John Newton’s “Amazing Grace.” To the Obama daughters, the Queen gave a dollhouse-sized replica of Windsor Castle with a functioning train station in the year of the compound. They also received a prize Shetland pony. Mrs. Obama was given a ruby ring commissioned and worn by Queen Victoria.
The Obamas, unfortunately, did not seem prepared for the occasion despite the row set off by the exchange of gifts between Prime Minister Brown and the U.S. President barely a month ago. Mr. Obama rather unceremoniously handed the Queen a shopping bag from the Duty Free shop at Heathrow airport. It contained a signed paperback copy of Dreams of My Father, purchased at the WH Smith shop at the airport, a bottle of Johnny Walker Scotch (black label), a CD of the Swedish band ABBA’s greatest hits (still in shrink wrap with a 2-for-1 sticker on it) and ten bags of M&Ms with the presidential seal on them.
The Queen responded in a rather flat: “How delightful.”
Shit, the Rangers might score >20 runs against either of these pitching staffs.
Only one thing's gone right this season, and that's NY getting bounced ignominiously in the first round.
The Queen part was a Jonah Goldberg parody, I hope.
Looks like the last game of the year for the Brewers. It's been a fun year, but going out is hard.
Being a Phillies fan all of my life I bleed with the Brewers fans. I am here in Milwaukee watching the game with my son-in-law, a life-time Brewers fan. It ain't pretty.
I'm impressed by the Cardinals. If I were an outsider, just watching the post season games, I'd be won over by the Cardinals.
It's been a struggle watching the Brewers in this series. It's hard to watch!

I was rooting for the Tigers and Brewers this weekend (mainly since I had a couple of guys from those teams on my fantasy baseball team), and neither of them won. I'm not sure who I'll be for in the Series. The Rangers have never won one, but the Cardinals are the ultimate Cinderella underdog, and America loves an underdog, even if they have already won the World Series ten times. A good story line either way.
And by the way, my scrappy fantasy baseball team (the Oconomowoc Mocs -- the little green snake is our logo) won our wild card series today in Game 6 when Jonathan Lucroy hit a two-run homer in the top of the ninth. For our trouble, we get to face the league's best team in the next round of the playoffs. Go Mocs!
My late father, who was born in St. Louis, could never root for the Cardinals. He was a Browns fan.
@Tyrone, Your memory reminded me of the odd coincidence that both pro teams called "Browns" wound up moving to Baltimore.
The Brewers are out. The Badgers and Packers are still going strong. You know what they say, two out of three ain't bad.
