No flotsam. No jetsam. Heck, no bottles with notes inside them floating by, either.
Talking of which, I have a friend whose house is at the seashore in Oxnard. And, over the years he's collected "pebbles" of glass. In a beautiful array of colors. He says they were once beer bottles, and such that got smashed. And, tumbled in the Pacific ... to come back ashore. Where you can pick them up as easily as you can pick up clam shells. Nature's bounty.
But I actually stopped by to bring up the matter of Barack Obama's impeachment - thinking that maybe the country is ready. Unless the country would rather wait till there is no country.
I like the painterly aspect evident in the details of some of Prof's photos at the 4000 by 3000 pixel resolution. Even if they're merely compression artifacts. The distant buildings, the foliage, the algae...

The usual eutrophic flotsam...
I bet there are fishing lying in wait under that tree.
What a camera!
It also looks like a few steps from the flat rocked place where you took yesterday's gem of a picture.

Fuck gazing off in the distance - gaze over here, bitch!
I gots somethin' to show ya,...
As a woman, one might be able to gaze in Madison; gamboling whilst forgetting to frolic.
Might.
It looks like the waterline is high.
Looks nice and cool in the shade.
You take wonderfully evocative pictures, Madame.

Crack, you don't talk that way to a lady.
Ann - what kind of camera do you have? I want to buy a digita SLR, but need advice.

It's not the camera, but the eye behind the camera that counts.
Though owning a nice camera is also good.
A beautiful picture. Thank-you.
Piling on.

Thanks Carol--I've been schooled on that one before and should have remembered.
The lake shot though is of Lake Mendota, near the University. I may not know my words, but I know my Wisconsin fresh water resources!
"... we can gaze off into the distance."
The sound of gunfire, off in the distance,
I'm getting used to it now
Lived in a brownstore, lived in the ghetto,
I've lived all over this town
This ain't no party, this ain't no disco,
this ain't no fooling around
No time for dancing, or lovey dovey,
I ain't got time for that now

As noted, click on the picture.
It's just a Panasonic Lumix.
Please go through the Amazon box in the sidebar if you buy one!
Also, I tweak the pictures in iPhoto. (And take a lot of pictures and throw most of them away.)
"How about a wider angle shot so we can see where that light is coming from..."
Why not just assume the light is coming from the sun? You want the sun in the picture? It would screw up the exposure.

Yes, the post is trying to get you to look closely enough to see the famous Wisconsin Capitol building.

I did! And with my bionic vision I could see well-nourished (eutrophic) flotsam (washed-up people) chanting and bobbing at the Capitol building!

I watched Obama's speech last night.
Did he write the speech all by himself?...or does he program the teleprompter to string together random phrases from his campaign speeches??
I think this will be compared with Carter's malaise speech.
Sarah Palin is right. He's a lame duck.
"I guess I haven't got much experience looking at filthy stagnant lake water."
You should! Much preferred to watching stagnant politicians.
"He's a lame duck."
It's only a slight sprain.
According to the polls I've seen, most Americans want the deficit reduced and taxes raised too.
Very compromising of us. Wouldn't you say?
