Ann, You look good on blogging heads today. Did you change the light or something? Anyway, good job.
Fred, Meade is off camera holding a light reflector disc.
I'm standing up, with my computer on my new motorized desk.
John Boehner told Chris Lee to pack up his stuff and be gone for much less than this.
Frozen like that, neither of you looks like you're laughing.
Actually, you both look like you just got bad news - or you're auditioning for "American Gothic."
I've got to watch later.
It's much different that you're standing vs. sitting.
As a former face-to-face lecturer, I would find it very hard to stifle the urge to walk around while talking.
Thank you for not calling them "panties" again.
"Sympathy for Weiner . . . "
Althouse is back on her compassion meds.
I thought making people laugh about Weiner was a job for Leno, Jon Stewart, et al. Anyway, Pinkerton is mostly twittering here, in the 'slight silly laugh' sense not the Weiner-sense, because the joke was old before the telling.
It's an etymological oddity that Weiner was undone using a joke-named medium to send unfunny stuff that made him into a laughingstock.
So apparently according to Liberals and Althouse only conservatives take their marriage vows seriously. That's some kind of rightwing moral majority thing. Wierd.
I wonder if liberals always offer up their dates/wives that they don't really think it's wrong to cheat and only a wingnut think so. I bet they don't.
Anthony Weiner has disgraced himself, his family, his party, and the US House of Representatives by behaving as a caddish high school senior, but today this is not enough to remove him from public life, especially since he is a Democrat, so they have to go look for some tiddly "legal" rule he has infracted.
Lawyers!!!
Frankly, I find it fun how Pinkerton throws his body into his laugh and rocks back and forth. Ann, you were in good form and I'll bet Meade was an appreciative spectator off camera.
Amazing how Althouse always feels sorry for scumbags like this. Personally I'm glad for anything that takes down socialists like this. Whatever it takes is my mantra.
The animated Weiner.

One rumor has it that Weiner plans to get rich by authoring a book complete with Chip Ahoy pop-ups. It will be called Lie Like an Egyptian.
Speaking of weiners, Cal/OSHA has lost their damn minds if they proceed with this today.
There's not going to be an industry left within the state of California by the end of Jerry Brown's term.
No matter how hard you pump it..... nobody wants to see it.
It's sort of like Congressman Weiner's weiner.
You were toying with him, you saucy minx.
The shot of you before the video is started is so severe, but you seemed to be having a great time.
Especially feeding him all those double entendres.
PS I can't imagine what the reaction was when you mentioned how your "feminine side" kicked in when feeling sorry for The Weiner.
A roll of the eys, mayhap?
PPS Motorized desk?
Weiner, a socialist. Heh what a sad joke.
He was hanging with Kissinger's gang until 2008 or so. He's another..demopublican, owned by AIPAC.
I never feel sorry for any politician who does stupid stuff. Weiner should go. He is a disgrace. He is not entitled to his job. He, like all elected officials, should be held to the highest standards of integrity and honesty.
He should be forced to resign and if he doesn't, he should be publicly shamed by his House colleagues until he does.
This he is only human stuff is the nonsense used to excuse all kinds of things, including crimes.
WV= apeek. You can't make this stuff up.
I agree Weiner resigning would be the right thing. Is that what his constituents think? (And who would replace him?)
We all know that his colleagues in the House don't care, and only appreciate that he's hogging all the Negative Press for US Representatives right now. You know they're all likely saying Phew -- that could have been me.
Taking him at his word, he sent a picture of his junk to a 21 year-old college student, unsolicited. Who cares if it's illegal. He should resign immediately, if only to protect them from any further publicity.
I listened to it instead of the 3rd hour of Rush, which was being interrupted constantly by the local radio station hysterical about thunderstorms. They never interrupt commercials.
I'll have to listen again when the AGC is available to equalize the volumes.
There's dynamic range problem in my setup
Computer plays into physical mixer, which ships it to another mixer and then to a FM transmitter, which broadcasts it upstairs to a FM receiver next to a baby monitor.
The baby monitor broadcasts it into the backyard, where I can receive it on a baby monitor receiver on my hat (it has to be on top so my body doesn't shield the signal), while I scythe the lawn.
This channel for some reason has limited dynamic range, so it either goes too quiet or it overloads, if the volumes aren't very equal.
Normally I use an AGC in the line to keep the volume level, but it was busy in the channel recording Rush through the thunderstorms.
So I missed some laugh lines the first time.
@rh You know you can subscribe to the podcast, get the show without commercials, and play it on an iPod or iPhone while you go anywhere you want.
It's that awkward laughter that comes when one hears something so absurd that one has to ask, "Is that what you really mean?" followed by yet another odd affirmation.
Poor Anthony. My excuse for that unsupportable position? I'm just a girl.
That entire Bloggingheads was most entertaining. Thanks for sharing your beautiful mind with us. I am watching it again as pure performance art.
"He is a disgrace. He is not entitled to his job. He, like all elected officials, should be held to the highest standards of integrity and honesty. He should be forced to resign and if he doesn't."
Exactly. He should be expelled from the House, since he refuses to resign.
This man is a pervert and criminal - no different than a flasher of yore. He's guilty of indecent exposure. The fact that he's using social media to lure his victims makes it topical and edgy, but it's the same old story.
Dirty old man flashes his penis to young girls. It's a mental illness and a sexual disorder.
Why is this man still in the House of Reprobates? They're not required to let him stay there and bring disrepute on the House. Why are they allowing him to continue to stain the organization. It's bizzare ... unless they really don't think he's doing anything wrong.
@ann You know you can subscribe to the podcast
I do subscribe but only use the podcasts for recovery of what the radio station has screwed up.
The rhythm of the commercial breaks greatly improves the show as background to other work. Rush becomes part of other stuff, or someething.
The elaborate audio channel lets me play whatever is playing on the computer or the radio in the backyward, so it's more than a substitute ipod.
Imus, Armstrong and Getty, Rush, John and Ken, and miscellaneous day-specific things all go out to the backyard.
The setup grew up over several years to deal with various situations, chiefly receiving Imus on the radio from several distant cities at once.
Sympathy...unless you think about it...or are a lib. Then...whatevah
