He can still roll over on Tippytoes and Little Zero.

He better watch his back.

And wear a chastity belt in the shower.

Carol_Herman ayon kay ...

Sad.

Once he put Burris into Obama's empty seat, the show should have been over. And, Fitzgerald thrown out of town.

We don't have a criminal justice system, anymore. We just have criminals.

Revenant ayon kay ...

"17 charges of corruption."

And that was just from his first day in office.

Carol_Herman ayon kay ...

His father-in-law did this to him.

And, no. I see nothing at all in which Americans can stand proud.

Luther ayon kay ...

I'm surprised it was that few, but then, it is Chicago.

Jason ayon kay ...

Another quality politician from Chicago.

Mrs. corrupt former Governor is kinda cute, but she chose so poorly. What blinded her?

traditionalguy ayon kay ...

Blago has gone down for good. The second Jury wanted to send a message to politicians trading favors. Did they bring these slopeheads in from the Illinois corn belt? Chicago will never change no matter how many messages Jurors like these send.

Luther ayon kay ...

"Chicago will never change no matter how many messages Jurors like these send."

Correct.

Paul ayon kay ...

I have no doubt selling senate seats is done alot. Illegal? Yes. Rare? Hahaha. As in no.

Blaggo is just getting what he deserves. The only unfair part is so many of them don't get caught.

""Chicago will never change no matter how many messages Jurors like these send."

In a thugocracy, following your predecessor into jail is the norm. Big cities often have gangs with multi-generational lines of members incarcerated. Chicago is special in that one of it's gangs runs the state.

If politicians went into the same prisons as armed robbers and dope dealers that "profession" might straighten out some. Instead we get the same two tier system they apply to everything else.

The Crack Emcee ayon kay ...

Damn it, Blago's the first criminal Democrat I want out of prison - because he's so fucking entertaining. He's been a real live BSer from the start. I mean, I really like the guy!

Why does he have to go to prison and Bill Clinton doesn't? How can Obama destroy the country and a man WITH THAT HEAD OF HAIR has to suffer? Did you hear him with his lawyer - "What happened?" - he's truly lost now.

Come on, we don't have to give him a lot of power, just something where he's on TV every once in a while, spinning a lie about how he knows everything and the truth will come out. Please? I'm begging you! Just this once, for me! Let Blago walk:

Our political watching is going to be so empty without him,...

Bruce Hayden ayon kay ...

Blago. You have to love the guy. I suspect that he still can't figure out why he is going to prison. After all, he wasn't the first Illinois politician to do this sort of stuff, and won't be the last.

Just maybe one of the dumbest.

Come on, we don't have to give him a lot of power, just something where he's on TV every once in a while

"Blago Behind Bars"... I'd watch that TV show.

Chip S. ayon kay ...

I was thinking "Real Politicians of Joliet." There's sure to be enough of them in stir to cast a series like that.

Retired Prosecutor ayon kay ...

Two Illinois state prison inmates are standing in the dinner line, when the first remarks to the second: "You know the food was a lot better in here when you were the Governor."

Kirk Parker ayon kay ...

Somebody who's good at parodies needs to have a try at adapting Arrested Development to fit Blago.

Methadras ayon kay ...

In Chicago, that finally earns him some respect.

Fred4Pres ayon kay ...

You will know he flipped when they find him dead in his cell.

Fred4Pres ayon kay ...

Blagojevich is one of the few Democrats with convictions!

Toad Trend ayon kay ...

Shepard Smith also seems to have an affinity for everything BLAGO.

The question is, will Blago provide more of the in-your-face charm and cockiness that is a trademark of Chicago pols?

Depends on whether or not that chastity belt is effective, methinks.

Dante ayon kay ...

Small potatoes. What's really needed is a trillion dollar slush fund. Now that's OK, as is it is OK to give millions in redevelopment money to your big donor, who helped make your home work.

al ayon kay ...

My first thought when I heard the verdict - will Fitzgerald offer a recommendation for lenient sentencing if Blago serves up Obama?

Hagar ayon kay ...

al,

Now, why do you think Fitzgerald was prosecuting Blagojevic in the first place?

G Joubert ayon kay ...

Too late for deal-making now, that ship has sailed and is over the horizon. Whatever bargaining chips either side may have had going in are pretty much gone post-conviction.

Big Mike ayon kay ...

The funny thing is, by the standards of Chicago Democrats he was the honest one.

Hagar ayon kay ...

But he embarrassed the Empire, and the Empire struck back.

Peter V. Bella ayon kay ...

Since we can't execute corrupt politicians I say off with his hair!!!!!!

Peter V. Bella ayon kay ...

We don't have a criminal justice system, anymore. We just have criminals.

And in Illinois they are called politicians.

MadisonMan ayon kay ...

I think a Blago v. Christie race would be very entertaining, but it'll never happen now, I guess.
