I love Rudy.
Why is this a surprise. When moderates rejected Mccain for the extreme Obama, they had to know they were going to make the GOP even more desperate to beat him in 2012, making the GOP far less rigid ideologically.
Oh wait... they said the opposite? Why?
And I like Rudy too.
He's a patriot. He knows how to administrate.
I'm not in synch with him on policy, but the fiscal problems Obama has aggravated leave me too desperate to be picky.

Oh cripes, pay attention to context. 70-80% of Americans have never heard of Pawlenty, Bachmann, Cain, etc. Everybody knows Rudy. This is a name recognition poll conducted among largely disinterested parties, nothing more.
What happens when you poll people about something they are (correctly) not paying attention to...
I agree with Lincolntf on this one. These polls are mostly measuring name recognition at this point.

I have never met anyone personally who supports Giuliani.
Whatever questions these polls are this juncture are asking, the respondents are answering one slightly complex question:
Have you heard of this person and do you like him or her.
So, it's purely Q Score, if it even rises to that level.
What a bunch of crap that poll is. It is an "all adult" poll and Giuliani leads 16% to the next one's 15%. It is a name recognition poll of people who most likely will never vote in a Republican primary.
After seeing the first question, I didn't even bother to look for the demographics.
If Rudy runs the exact opposite of his last campaign, then he might have my vote.
Between Rudy and Sarah, the poll's sample prefer candidates not in the race to Mitt Romney by nearly 2:1.
Romney's only real hope to win the nomination is that no one else running proves credible. That the same strategy worked for McCain against Romney in 2008 doesn't speak wonders for his chances.

It's so strange to hear a leftist say this in the gutsycall.com era.
Hell, Rudy actually was amazing on 9/11. That says a lot about how he'd handle problems as President. Obama's Gutsycall.com moment doesn't tell us anything except that he waits 16 hours to make a no brainer decision with minimal input.
I've heard more democrats mock Rudy for the 9/11 thing than I've ever heard Rudy mention it.

I like Rudy. I would work for his campaign. He's like a sane Trump. I think he is the only one who has the guts to really run against Obama. Mitt will be another McCain.

CNN slants everything (news, polls, opinion) in such a manner as to harm the conservative cause as much as possible while maintaining a facade of neutrality. At least MSNBC is upfront in their bias.

Triangle--I interpreted Mad Man's comment as being critical of then Mayor Guiliani's reaction to 9-11--this is rather in the same ball park as the excrebale Shilo's comment about "deer in the headlights."
When you have a catastrophy on the scale of 9-11, good leadership relies first and foremost of getting information about the event before you take action--In both cases Mayor G who was responsible for the immediate local response appears to have done his job--As did President Bush
NO ONE--all the crap about the august briefing notwithstanding, could come to grips to what happened without some information and analysis-
That takes time--you dont respond without information and to the respective leaders credit, they took the time to assess what happened.

Someone decided to put in Rudy's name to spice up the poll. Rudy has name recognition, so his name pops up near the top in a widely split field.
This is just bullshit polling looking for a little attention.
I was making a commentary on Rudy's last run, where all his campaign was was Noun Verb 9/11.
Polls are like the gold standard. There is never ever any shenanagins. Hell, we should just pick Rudy right now as the GOP candidate because he is obviously the leader.
I like Rudy, but he needs to stay on the motivational speeker circuit.
But, is Rudy's stammer an intellectual one?

Algore did NOT win Tennessee! That's what put Florida in play. And, Algore LOST Florida!
Rudy can go on the VIEW.
He doesn't have Tea Party votes. And, if you think you know how the 20% of Independents go ... you might as well make an offer on the Brooklyn Bridge.
I can't see Rudy winning, but I'd vote for him over Romney in a heartbeat.
