"Go fuck yourself. Please. Just fucking die already.... You are the worst thing that has ever happened to Wisconsin, and all the red-necked hillbillies that elected you should be ashamed of themselves. It will not be long until my brothers and sisters in Madison have forced you out of office. I sincerely wish you harm, Mr. Governor. I hope you and your dictatorial regime spend (sic) get to spend and (sic) extended amount of time in Hell. Honestly."
Email sent to Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker that the Capitol Police regarded as not worth pursuing — reported in an article in the Isthmus that seems more concerned about the fact that a that a state senator told another senator's chief of staff that she "was stupid, amongst other mean and hurtful things."

But worthy enough for an AA post so her flock can do what they do best ~ whine!
You bet'cha!
Well, there's a civility problem no doubt, but there's no specific mention of what he's going to do except hope tht some calamity befalls the governor. So I would concur that the writer hopes for something awful to happen to the governor, but he's not going to do anything to make that happen, so I think the letter is one inch short of crossing the line. This is a quite light letter for a leftist.
No true threat in that email. Not even close. Good that the Capitol Police don't waste their time pursuing this sort of entirely legal, if uncivil, speech.
If you think the Capitol Police should have pursued this, then you are just falling for the same-old civility bullshit.
I bet Walker runs for President in 2016 if the incumbent isn't a Republican. That'll get him out of Wisconsin.
Interesting comments for the original story. The police get a lot of discretion in what leads they follow. I think that was pretty specific and hateful. As for Senator Miller, he was being stupid, and anyone in his employ was stupid. She called the cops and didn't want to get anybody in trouble or anything? Stupid.
Sort of like the left said loads of mean and hateful things about Bush, and that was brushed off. But any little thing about Michelle's husband, and whoa people are knocking at your door. Just a second, the door bell rang, I'll be right back......
Here is how it shook out. More threats against Dem 14:
The 78 closed cases involve:
• 15 threats against Walker.
• 30 threats targeting Democratic senators.
• 12 threats against Republican senators and state representatives, including a one-line email sent to all 56 GOP Assembly members.
• 21 threats targeting Capitol protesters, police, the Tea Party, Madison Mayor Dave Cieslewicz, Dane County Board Chairman Scott McDonell and others
Jon Erpenbach received one less threat (14) than Walker.
Linkage.
Of course, it's not worth pursuing - in the eyes of the union cops.
Where, O, where are all the Lefties? They were everywhere complaining about Tea Party violence and threats, but this "is not worth pursuing".
This one is right up there with, "Nice job ya's got, hate to see anyt'in' bad happen to it".
As for its being worthy of pursuing, if it were sent to Sgt Barack Oramba, bet it would be worth pursuing then.

What part of, "I sincerely wish you harm, Mr. Governor", eludes him?
If I would of sent an email it would of been confidential and asked if he wanted to meet at some Kohl's parking lot and get all down low.
Lord knows that fatty he is married to isn't much of a fuck.
And my lips are sealed-as Belinda Carlisle would say.
Whaddaya think? Threat or political commentary? Police determined it to be a mere statement of opinion. Case closed.
Who's the police spokesman, Carl Spackler?
GOVERNOR WALKER: Whaddya think fella?
SPACKLER: If I were you, I’d keep playin’, I don’t think the really heavy stuff’s comin’ down for quite a while.
30 threats targeting Democratic senators
Does threatening to remove you from office for not doing your elected job constitute a threat?
The mention of cyanide doesn't have any bearing?
I assume that the Capitol Police aren't pursuing the "you're stupid" assault either.
Holy newshawk, Batman, this is petty stuff.
Incitement is only a consideration when it's unhinged conservatives making uncivil remarks against liberals. When the remarks come from the left, liberals trip over themselves to excuse it as 'not a death threat per se'.
Any word from Robert Wright on this?
EVIL: Blogger just ate my Carl Spackler comment.
“Now we see the violence inherent in the system.”
Ho hum.
Wasn't "racist" was it?
So never mind.
What was it the Madison cops said during the recent Union Occupations and riots in Madison: "Move along, nothing to see. Just innocent Union thugs protesting that they don't need to to follow any stinking laws."
I'm shocked Ann didn't put the "civility bullshit" tag on this one.
I was thinking that sometime tonight
I would see some snaps of the folks who participated in The “Fight Is Not Over” rally.
Did that not happen today?
You really need spittle to prove malign intent.
I was thinking that sometime tonight I would see some snaps of the folks who participated in The “Fight Is Not Over” rally.
I went looking for news coverage about it, but couldn't find much. The only reason I knew about it was because I watch the WIunion hashtag on Twitter, and they were patting themselves on the back for once again showing everyone "what democracy looks like".
Even the leftist media is apparently tired of this story.
It's "articulate"! "Case closed"!! Isthmus solves another mystery!
What doofuses. Obviously they're relishing the whole smoking-pot-in-the-State-Capitol angle too.
I mean, what else did they build a state Capitol for?
They don't find it worth pursuing? Huh, maybe Gov Walker ought to contact the FBI (to hell with Holder, the FBI DOES take these kinds of threats seriously).
Now that it's been publicized, they'd better take it seriously.
The writer might not do anything, but he may incite violence in someone else.
One of the most detailed incidents concerned two young men who illegally put up a tent on the Capitol's third floor then went inside and lit a joint.
"Upon opening the tent flap I noticed a great amount of smoke coming from the interior of the tent," the police report reads.
apparently the crime that merited reporting was not drugs, but rather, "illegal tenting"
I bet if it had been tobacco, it would have been a felony arrest
Yawn.
Nasty emails? Standard leftist fare. Nothing to see here, either.
Hope and change, hope and change.
I sincerely wish you harm, Mr. Governor.
Ah, the elevated discourse in action.

Again, this is just too rich.
Keep at it, you clowns.
OMG... He told her she was stupid and then she reported it to the police. Well I guess she proved his point.
wisconsin liberal Democrats are revolutionary drama queen wannabes.
Titus,
And my lips are sealed-as Belinda Carlisle would say.
Your keyboard certainly isn't.
Sounds like the guy who was threatening you is still at it. But has upped his game (or hers).
