The "in" steals the beauty of the "out".

I'm out, from the in.

That is a beautiful shot. I love nature when it is under the control of the garden experts. Structure in the house and the yard is one secret to giving man peace. So Shabat shalom on Friday night to the MeadeHouse family.

We were outside making chicharron de puerco with tostones and batata fritas.

It takes a while to do this.

If that's your house, very lovely.

As I've said before, you live in a nice place, and it looks like you and Meade have made a very nice home for yourselves.

PS Count me in.

No doubt Atticus Finch will compliment your garden on his way home. Scout, too, tasting the delicious temptations.

BTW -- what does everyone who has beautiful - pristine - homes do with all your papers?

Everytime I see a picture of some brilliant guy's workspace with piles of books and papers and clutter galore, I go ahhh .... someone else has papers.

We're not the Collier Brothers here, but ....

In-N-Out for old time's sake.

We have a campground down the road from us named "The Outside Inn." They don't have a cafe, though.

As we settle in for the brutality of summer in the South, I'm reminded of just how pleasant summers are in the North. We had friends over for dinner; the husband works in ND in drilling. He just got back and said it's mid 60s in the days and 40s at night. For all its negative press, ND weather is what I'd call perfect right now.

Remember, when you see a photograph, you're seeing a frame around the part the photographer wanted to show you. You can infer that everything just beyond the frame and further out was less picturesque!

Anyway, that's the dining table, not a desk. Do you leave papers piled up on your dining table?

I agree that is a fantastic shot. So many contrasts. The dark room color combined with the dark arrangement in the vase in the center of the table, is set against the burst of bright light coming through the window, including the sharp reflection of the tree leaves on the glass tabetop.

The only critique is the photographer so wanted to draw the viewer's eye to the pink flowers outside, that the framing is awkwardly off-center and the laptop on the table seems like it shouldn't beling there. Still, gotta appreciate the eye able to catch so many different natural colors, shadows, reflections, etc. Very nice.
