There's a kind of Jane Austen/Elizabeth Barrett explains-it-all quality to her postings. It is a truth universally acknowledged that a witty and attractive woman is in need of a suitable mate. The plot points of her blog as it continues to unfold as are as agreeable as an Austen novel.
While an undergrad at Michigan, I took a class with Prof Juan Cole. He definitely was left-of-center, and thought that the USA was not a good player, but he was a fair teacher, who let the few conservatives/libertarians in his class speak their mind. Even got an A in that class!!!!
