Beware of falling apples...

Ummmm, those are computers, right? Produced by the evil corporations that have out-sourced all their labor to the Third World while voraciously devouring precious metals and fossil fuels?

Smash every fucking one of them and let the Dems see what the world would look like if they get their way.

Are these waterproof?

DRJ... looks to me like they're inside, not outside, in a large covered atrium.

Is this some sort of Apple store or something?

Union South?

Meade ayon kay ...

Close, kate.

Alex ayon kay ...

Not an Apple Store.

Palladian ayon kay ...

Those red chairs in the background? "Orange Slice", designed by Pierre Paulin in 1960, produced by the Dutch furniture maker Artifort. Retail price: $2,591.00, each.

Discovery Center, isn't it?

They have good (cheap) cookies there.

Palladian ayon kay ...

In the autumn they'll have to rake the desktops.

Pretty nice place for some folks to do facebook.

I thought only you were allowed to cavort with Meade.

What about the baby elephant?

(he asked in lieu of the Kloppenburg Parallax, and the coming destruction of Wisconsin - leading everyone to forage for food south of I-40)

Ann, what sort of red chairs are those in the background? They look kinda Mid Century Modernish - a favorite of mine.

Maybe a pic of them the next time you pass by?

Ann Althouse ayon kay ...

I have some pics that focus on the chairs. Will put them up later.

It's a really cool interior space.

My apologies. I see that Palladian has already answered my question, and the chairs are, indeed, iconic MCM pieces.

I'd be surprised, however, if they are the real deal. You can pick up decent quality knockoffs for a few hundred bucks apiece. Unless, of course, the place is a government operation with an unlimited budget....

I notice Meade likes the very tight bottom on a pair of genes. Since my son recently complained that a long walk with the dogs produced flea bites up his legs, I was wondering if the tighter fit of the genes isn't a benefit, when you're out in the woods. Or even just doing landscaping.

Looks like the Apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

(Sorry, I couldn't resist.)
