After riots, deaths, and general mayhem, the Egyptian cobra is back in captivity. Next up: Libyan ducks.

To think millions of people live with the snake in their back yard everyday. It must be fun for them to listen to the fear and panic of the tough New Yorkers. Maybe like I would enjoy a story of panicked Germans following a jar full of black widows that got knocked over in Berlin.

Crap. No more tweets.

I suspect that the Professor is warming us up for an April Fools Day barrage of wildlife, weirdos and Kloppenburg speaking.

Really? She'd just better not pull any disappearing stunts like Trooper York once did. Can you imagine how many comments she get? I'd guess in the thousands easily.

After she delivered her hatchlings, she no longer had a reason to stay out of captivity. It takes freshly hatched cobrettes up to three weeks to gain full venom maturity so plan your visits accordingly.

Oh right, like that poor snake was going anywhere, what with the outdoor temperatures in NYC over the past few days!

It sure sucks to be cold-blooded in late winter in NYC. The only place that snake was going was into a coma if it left the reptile house.
