Yes, in the past 50 years the emotional tendencies of the left and right have flipped into reverse.
The left is now brutally dogmatic and reactionary, as well as piously religious.

In the old days, when someone had a camera and took pictures, those being photographed would ask "Can I get a copy?"
Back in the old days, too, Polaroids were such a hit! Your picture could be taken, and you could instantly see it.
