It's definitely something sexual about a train. In fact, I believe he is supporting Walker's stance against high speed rail in Wisconsin by saying "Fuck the Train".
Does this mean the protest party is over and everyone is going back to their real lives? Are these three just another example of Rumsfeld's "dead enders"?
Looks like graffiti vandals have developed an interest in and awareness of current events & politics, and are working that into their craftwork. Wonder where that awareness is coming from?
This morning someone superglued the locks at the UW Milwaukee campus in advance of a a large pro-union protest. I heard it described on the news as a "prank".
Remeber this the next time the op-ed guys decry "a whiff of fascisim in the air" because a tea partier parked outside the yellow lines at pick n save.
no guaranteed pensions no sick leave no paid holidays no guaranteed income no collective bargaining (it would be an antitrust violation) no government paid health insurance no tenure no scholarships no tuition rebates no grievance procedure no summers off
I do not think their sympathy level with the protestors is very high.
Unfortunately, there are progressive farmers. At the recent Upper Midwest Organic Conference in LaCrosse there was a presentation on "social justice in ag." Seems the hippies who pushed for fed organic regs feel social justice was ignored in those regs and that injustice needs to be addressed.
There are a lot of organic farmers who believe in the organic farming system, or are organic for the (supposedly) higher net return who are unaware of the social justice push.
The WI Farmer's Union group put on the tractorcade, the WI Farm Bureau (larger group)tends to be more business, less hippie.
Some of the tractors were restored, that big blue (New Holland) tractor with duals all-around is too big of a toy for a hobby farmer...rented or bought with farm subsidy dollars...

Ok, so the dude in the second picture is intimating something sexual about a train. Hmmmmm.
I agree with Shaaaaark.

They found him in the wreck,
with his hand on the throttle
The guy in the middle shot wants to be John Holmes if he grows up.
Notice the recall sign seems a bit ambivalent at any kind of distance.
One of the many paid protesters, mayhap?

Get used to it, Wisconsin.
Give the unions what they want, or things will get ugly.
This is what democracy looks like. In Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, et al.
Head of Organizing For America, BH Obama is trying to make the rest of the US look the same.
What was it Garage was going on about with farmers and the big tractor protest?
I wanted to find out more...
So I went to the State-Journal site.
Reportedly, 50 or so farmers (yes, 50 - I am underwhelmed) and their tractors joined forces with the union thugs.
Pfffft.

As Nelson says, "HA HA"
As to that second picture, I wonder if thinking about baseball is a cure for "high-speed rail."
Instructional video: Junk in a Box.
Love train (bum-bum-bum) Love train...

Second picture has to be a Walker-supporting counter-protester demonstrating against the medium-speed choo-choo.
wv: spoylend -- just a bounch of spoylend kids out there. Some of them in their sixties.
I remember a lot of republicans, but I don't recall them all.
It's not the clue train.
I'm glad this whole mess got completed before the NCAA tournament.
Is that supposed to be a gun or a train that protest guy is sporting as his manhood?
Either works.
Equal rights for unionists = the absence of equal rights for tax payers and non-unionists.
Even the union protester hate high speed rail and want to stop it!

Well they should. Wasn't the plan to hire the Spanish to build it?
lol Henry.
Looks like Mardi Gras in New Orleans without the beads and the boobies.

You do know you can rent tractors, right? I do wonder how many were actually farmers.
Looks like Mardi Gras in New Orleans without the beads and the boobies.
Or the Pasadena Do Dah parade without a sense of humor.
Looks like Mardi Gras in New Orleans without the beads and the boobies.
And with a way, way higher percentage of white people. Looks like about.....hmmmmm *scans photos*.......100%.
You sure don't find that at Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans.
The farmers are working.
You can say that every day.
They have:
no guaranteed pensions
no sick leave
no paid holidays
no guaranteed income
no collective bargaining (it would be an antitrust violation)
no government paid health insurance
no tenure
no scholarships
no tuition rebates
no grievance procedure
no summers off

Oh, man, that man in the train outfit ought'a send his to the Smithsonian!
It's an ORIGINAL!
It is way to terrific not to get a special spot at the Smithsonian.
Thank you Meade! These photos are so good! (And, again, you take pictures without looking through the viewfinder.)
What a great blog this is!
