Don't forget the forum on Gov. Walker's budget repair bill at the law school tonight.

Previously blogged here. This event, from 6-8 tonight in room 2260 at the UW Law School, is open to the public. And, as you can see from the law school website, the law school will produce a video of the event that will be available here tomorrow.

"Professor Neill DeClercq, School for Workers, UW Extension"

I wonder what side ol' Neill is on?

No idea, but people seem to speak highly of him, so I'm gonna be fair and give him the benefit of the doubt since I know little of him personally.

Although, that particular school is interesting:

The School for Workers is the labor education department of the University of Wisconsin-Extension, Continuing Education, Outreach & E-Learning. Our mission is to educate workers and others about issues of concern in the workplace. Each year we offer hundreds of programs to thousands of union representatives, officers, members, and employer representatives.

I think just to be fair, though, they should have someone there from the 'School of the Americas'. ;)

Yeah, he could very well be a good guy. The name of the school just sounds so Soviet that I can't help but project.

LOL I don't disagree...

Lincoln beat me to it. What the hell is a "School for Workers"? I assume its not what we used to refer to "night school".

Have Meade attend and tell everybody he's David Koch. Oh, and bring a camel.

Trooper York said...

Hey it's not fair to make fun of bring a Camel.

I mean the President brings a whole pack of Camels to every meeting he goes to.

Hey Trooper. I would have thought you would stop using douchenozzle. Too many people think you are one.

Why is it called a budget repair bill when so many items in it have nothing to do with the budget?

Trooper York said...

Hey Dose good afternoon.

I have a general rule. Anything that certain people have to say is something I just ignore because of the source of the comment and I try to make sure I take the opposite position. AlphaLiberal, Jeremy, Roachy, and hdhouse have all made the All-Star team of People to ignore. However I must congratulate you dude. You are well on the way to making the team in your first month commenting.

You are like the Rookie of the Year or something.

Think of yourself as the Joe Charboneau of the Althouse blog. Good show.

But that doesn't mean we can't be friends.

Some of my best internet friend are moronic liberals.

Dose of Sanity said...

Don't say I didn't warn you. I may start taking outlandish positions to watch your response.

And please don't disappoint by taking the easy joke above. ("start")

That, at least, is something we have in common.

Hey Trooper. I would have thought you would stop using douchenozzle.

How about DoucheWaffle. Can we still use that one, or is that one bad too?

:p

Trooper because we both work on Sundays, I thought we had a bond. Speaking of rhetoric on the blog, I wonder why this hasn't been discussed and excused-
A deputy in the Indiana Attorney General's Office faces an internal review over online comments he made concerning protesters at the Wisconsin Legislature.

Mother Jones, a political website, tweeted Saturday "Sources in Madison say riot police have been ordered to clear protesters from capitol at 2 am," to which Deputy Attorney General Jeff Cox responded using his personal account, "Use live ammunition.

Trooper York said...

Of course we have a bond Rochy. But we are oppisites.

You see as women's clothing store operator I try to get women into clothing.

As a professor you try to get them out of their clothing. Well of course only if they want a good grade.

Trooper York said...

That would be opposites.

I had a terrible spelling teacher.
I think he was the shop steward or something. Sorry professor.

Ah, the law of unintended consequences. UW Hospital surprised to fund its workers in budget-repair bill.

Trooper York said...

I do have to differ with your choice of "Mother Jones" for my up to the minute news. What happened?
You couldn't get a copy of the Weekly World News?

You see that was sort of the point of my reply to Dosey. Thanks for illustrating the point.

MadisonMan said...

So why does the Gov care if a non-state entity deals with Unions?

I'm puzzled.

Jesus, what an idiot. She tries to pose as reasonable: she's for "sensible reform" She's "not usually a fan of conspiracy theories".

But then she supports every leftist fever fantasy ever spoken aloud.

"They want to remake the country into a place I don’t want, the voters don’t want and I’m pretty sure you don’t want."

Gail's against ObamaCare? That's news.

"Brooks: I can put you in touch with plenty of sane people who care both about debt and education"

Not at the NYT.

My suggestion is to quiet down the crowd and then call Governor Scott on a speaker phone and pretend to be Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio calling to get Scott's advice on internment camps for runaway Democrats. Scott will probably agree to help him out

What's left to say, I wonder. Even if it's "union busting" the people through the representatives voted to do that and have a right to.

Hey Trooper,
Was watching WNTW last night and saw the store. Nice. but I can never tell if Stacy and Clinton end up buying stuff for the makeover from your store. It looked like last night they spent most of their time in one of those chains for "fuller figured girls"
