Haha, check the headline on Drudge and then watch this! 'I don't want to get her mad, please go' (~I will take the hard questions here) LOL. Obama votes present again, then the smartest, oratorically magnificent president takes over.
Check out this briefing with Philip J. Crowley, Assistant Secretary of State. He explains why the U.S. will not regard Julian Assanage as a journalist or whistleblower. It's down toward the end of the transcript.
Mr. Assange obviously has a particular political objective behind his activities, and I think that, among other things, disqualifies him as being considered a journalist.
...he’s not a journalist. He’s not a whistleblower. And there – he is a political actor. He has a political agenda.
You ought to be concerned, Professor! You seem to always have a political agenda... So if it were to come down to it, your blogging would not be considered by our government to be "journalism". The government seems to have created this new category of "political actor" and seems to be claiming it trumps any claim on being a journalist.
I think this is important. Many people have been waiting for a long time for our government to decide who is entitled to the protections normally accorded to journalists, and it seems that our Establishment is taking a very narrow view.
There's nothing more "pragmatic" than running the fuck away when you're getting your ass kicked. Gotta give Althouse credit for finding that virtue among all of Obama's faults.

Sure...
If Willie had been that smart, he wouldn't have gotten in that much trouble. And he would have realized he had all kinds of opportunity to craft that legacy he wanted all his life if he had faced up to the challenges of his administration, instead of sweeping them under the rug for the next POTUS.
Lem, I saw that movie with my parents when I was a kid. I remember feeling uncomfortable being in the same room with them when Sophia Loren performed that number.

Well it's not a very sodium vibe!
When we were told we would be emigrating to the US, a long time passed while I often spend time looking up at the high flying jets.
What is that orange thing in the background?
A pictorial representation of the last, dwindling vestige of President Zero's already minimal gravitas.
Audible bike commute Christmas decorations video today.
Glad I don't live in snow country. I hate to shovel it.
Hah Lawgiver. Snow schmow.
I just on whimsy looked at the weather forcast for Madison.
Professor M'am ... (I can call you m'am, right?) hope you and the Meadester have everything you need to keep warm and fed without going out.
It' going to be coooooold where you are in a couple days.
That's a sweet vid, rh.
Night Must Fall
Cold, cold, the steel blue snow,
Untouched by the late sun glow;
A dread omen of what will come
When glow to utter cold succumb.
Our eldest left MI and home today, to begin a job on the road with an Ohio based company.
A glimmer of sun, open fields and a song in the air: Christmas Present.
thanks to RH and AA for delivery.
Rembrandt returns. Are Althouse's forbears Dutch?
The red sox have given the fans a Yankee size Christmas present..
Left fielder Carl Crawford and first basement Adrian Gonzalez..
I cant wait.
Was that shot with a cell phone?
Carl Crawford?
Dude they would have been better off signing Broderick Crawford.
Hey is that a bunny in the background?
The Yanks stagger after Lee. Cause without Lee they are history, and know it. Get it? Stagger? Lee? Is that clever or what?...so's ya fadder.
Calm before the storm.
We dined at the Glass Nickel. The 9 yr old fist pumped the arrival of a fresh and much awaited plate of Nickel Nuggets to the table. Yesss...
The 2 yr old rocked a bunch of new dance moves to Chuck Berry, daring me to keep up with them. What a great night to be alive.
so what's this Bill Clinton taking over a press conference with our sitting President? I'm afraid to look.
Is this where I mention that it's in the 70's here in Phoenix?
This is what I see on my way home. It's from a month ago, but it looked the same today.

There are trees in my neighborhood that are finally turning golden; I'm going to try to take photos this weekend.
TGIF
I just saw the press conference with Bill Clinton - wow, BHO must really be desperate. Wonder what Hillary thinks of this.
Also, forgot to say this - Ann, nice photo as always!
Haha, check the headline on Drudge and then watch this!

Or fleeing the scene after knocking a 100-year-old woman to the pavement.
Unless you are dying of cancer and your husband has been unfaithful. Then you get a pass.
Misty: I just saw the press conference with Bill Clinton - wow, BHO must really be desperate.
Didn't you find yourself filled with hope that it was a permanent change?
I know I did.
Wonder what Hillary thinks of this.
Realization that she may have to bump him off. Just to be safe.
Om!
But, is it really necessary to sit cross-legged while saying: "Om?"
Cheers.
"I don't want to make her mad, please go," Clinton told Obama.
Ha. Obama asked permission to leave, Clinton granted it.
I think Obama is going to quit.
I remember this same secenario on the Honeymooners when Norton had to run upstairs to Trixie and left Ralph to explain everything to Alice.
Everything you need to learn about life you can learn from the Honeymooners.

Neither smart nor oratorically magnificent. Without the media to front for him, Willie would be sharing a cell with Edwin Edwards.
That would make one heck of a desktop background. Thanks, Professor.
