I work with sexually abused patients and am fairly rabid about prosecuting perps and protecting children. But this is silly. There are stuffed animals with video cameras inside them that are used for survelience and have been for years. Same thing really. And no warning for those. So while I appreciate the sentiment, this seems much ado about nothing.
The FBI has so far not warned parents about Obama's TSA surveillance video and photos which can be used by pedophiles to create child pornography.
Since, you know, the Obama Administration is the one doing the peeping.
Here are the images coming out of "secured" TSA scanners across America - helpfully digitized and categorized by Google (which can be used by pedophiles to locate child pornography):
Those FBI guys are perverts dreaming up sex crimed for Barbie owners.
If they want to catch real perverts who are looking under the clothes of children and forcing American children to pose nude -- then they should arrest the TSA!
Everyone (rightly) condemns pedophilia, but sees no contradiction in the fact that almost all adult women are as hairless as little girls.
I don't see the contradiction either. Can you explain what you mean? I prefer my women mostly shaved and trimmed down there. Its not because I want them to resemble little girls, its because hairy women are not sexy.
Ugh. What's with the constant talk about shaving habits? Any excuse at all and off you people go. Predictable as the sunrise.
As for the Barbie... someone is going to have to explain to me in Very Small Words how the Barbie Cam is different than any other sort of camera. Is it a bathtub camera? Do girls tend to play by exposing themselves to Barbie? What?
Oh, God - "nothing is sexier than a thick, rich luxiurant bush. . ."
Considering that that "luxuriant bush" is a magnet for every sort of nasty bacteria, I'll pass. I prefer my women to be clean, with a light scent of perfume, not bushy bitches stinking like a Pakistani men's room.
Unless Christopher has a personal supply of Nair products, one does wonder what nasty bacteria and gross jock-itch and yeast infections he's passing back to his clean and bare partners.
Just saying.
They used to shave women who were going into labor on the theory that it was cleaner.
It's not. So they stopped doing that.
All shaving does is open wounds and abrasions on the skin for bacteria to grow in. Soap and water is the cleanest.
My wife and I saw this Barbie at the store, and our first thought was "WHY?"
I know they're getting desperate to try to sell the 800th version of the Barbie doll to the little girl/mother-living-vicariously-through-her who already owns the other 799. But seriously....
I'd really like to know which genius at Mattel thought that ANY good could come from this and greenlit production...
He needs to be fired. And not necessarily because of the whole pedophile issue. Because it's stupid. Which adult woman fondly remembers playing with her Barbies and then thinks to themselves: "It would have been MUCH more fun if only they had VIDEO CAMERAS built into them?"

Shouldn't this have the creepy uncle or other family member warning on it?
I say what's the point of the toy in the first place? Do young girls really want to use their dress-up dolls to record video and store media?
Protect us from people trying to protect us!
This is more likely to be used by girls to spy on siblings.

Crap.
There goes the Christmas present we were gonna get AlphaLiberal.
Oh well. I can always get him a copy of "Going Rouge."
In the last Depression, the FBI went after criminals, as opposed to doing its bit for the nanny state.

Don't tell the Kardashians about this.
@ Trooper York
And you can probably find it in the remainder bin!
You mean the reindeer bin?
It seems to me that the problem isn't in the presence of the camera, but in the presence of the pederast.
Call me crazy.

Pedophiles? Good grief!! A Barbie-cam would be *great* for filming a documentary focused on the inner-lives of your Barbies.

hairy women are not sexy
Speak for yourself.
Nothing is sexier than a thick, rich, luxuriant bush, overflowing with an unlimited cornucopia of magnificent enhanced aromas and flavors.
Bon appetit!

YMMV. But I prefer the underarms cleaned and shaved.

Excuse me while I puke.

Ask your partner to bathe once in a while.

Today, of course, it would be tragically irrelevant.

They need to super size that doll and make it anatomically correct. Imagine a woman with a TV in her back. Perfection!

Ladies know that rouge and rouge are spelled the same. In order not to "go rogue", we changed the latter to "blush".

Or by Garage playing with the doll and posting it on youtube.
