Sandhill cranes, right? Not Whooping cranes, though your area was part of their natural range.

Couldn't see the cranes, but even the specs can't work miracles.

Some people would call that landscape drab, but you make the autumnal prairie at sunset beautiful.

Well, when Congress passed Obama's stimulus package, the One did proclaim that "Cranes would fill the skyline".

Did you notice the color of the clouds last night after sunset? I had puffy clouds over me in Madison, and during the period after sunset their underneath surface was an amazing deep orange color.

Good book there. I have been fascinated by cranes ever since. If only they flew over Cincinnati...
