Did he really pull a Feingold out of his hat as a magic trick? Maybe Obama is getting his magic powers going again. Now it is Palin's turn to FaceBook him again. This is turning into a heavy weight fight.
With over 40,000 students a large crowd shouldn't be that hard to gather. Reminds my of when Nixon spoke to over 70,000 at a Billy Graham Crusade being held at the University of Tennessee football stadium.
Obama was in his element: campaigning before his natural constituency, namely young people still living on the largess of their parents, steeped in the unreality of campus life, most without the experience necessary for critical thinking, not yet adults, but no longer children, for the most part untouched by the economic realities that are destroying so many of the rest of us: taxes, a sparse job market, debt...
Not a bad description of Obama himself, come to think of it.
Rather than earnestly consoling you cons, I was going for more of a snarky 'it looks like the cons were celebrating a little too early' sort of an angle.

Thousands of senior citizens lost their medicare advantage today. And unemployment is 9.6 percent.

Feingold?
Rush told me that he made up a BS excuse: he was in DC voting.
And, 'we.'
First, it was that Moore movie and now this!
Meade is really assimilating to Madison.
Did Russ get close enough for a nice pic with President Shortpants?
I hope so.

But all the losers at UW 26 and younger get to stay on their parents' healthcare plan, yay!! maybe that is what they were cheering today..
Althouse seems too gleeful.. this is her way of getting back at us, you know the crowd who chides her for her Obama vote at every turn.
It's great to have reports from someone smart, observant and present :-)
Don't worry cons, Althouse is lying to you. The truth is that there was piss poor attendence.

How many miles away was the "free speech zone"?

That link discusses projected attendance. It makes no claim about how many people showed up.
Rev,
