French politician Rachida Dati criticizes investment funds for "looking for returns of 20 or 25%, at a time when fellatio is almost non-existent."
That's translated from French, in which the key word is "fellation," which she supposedly confused with "inflation."

Perhaps the lack of "INFLATION" was the real problem for Rachida Dati. The very mention of her name would decrease the possibility for inflation.

That news will sink socialism for sure. The end of fellatio as we know it. We need to return to the days of free fellatio like we had under Bill Clinton. I blame CO from heavy breathing.

Now, why is that relevant?
Because the Daily Mail is a British tabloid. The gulf between quality papers (broadsheets) and tabloids is both wide and deep.
I would ask her: And whose fault is that?
Given her rep, though, what a boner.
Why shouldn't companies try for a 20 to 25% return on investment EVEN when there is no inflation? This is what successful investors do. Try to find products/investments that have the potential to grow and then get out when you have realized a gain. As long as they are not doing anything illegal or misrepresenting the gains by hiding leverage, why should the government care?
I WANT to invest in a company that is trying to make as much profit for me as it can.
I guess they want to control how much success you can have, just like Obama who wants to punish people who work and make more than an arbitrary amount of money.

Nice attempt at redirection. That's been an Italian joke since at least WW II.
This isn't even a double entendre. It's flat out obscene. Plus she's very pretty and has a history to make the remark all the more titillating. (Titillation should be a dirty word in French.) The only problem is that she is not Republican so she will get a quarter turn on the spit, and then it wall all blow over.
As a well-informed rival of Sarkozy's wife, perhaps Dati simply knows what Carla Bruni WON'T do for Sarkozy and thus why there is no fellatio. But it seems impolitic of Dati to so publicaly reveal what Sarkozy may have complained about to her in their more intimate moments. I guess it was easier for him to speak than it was for her.
